Two Wheels Only Posted June 10, 2016 #1 Share Posted June 10, 2016 I would add more/larger/better pools. Something similar to this Viking... ...with a gradual increase in depth (like the beach). I'd also steal the thunder from the H.O.T.S. abyss slide by making it a drop waterslide! Forget mini-golf. Use that area for something better. The electric go-carts (NCL Joy) would probably take up too much space. I'd also have the spiral staircase in the Haven go from deck 17 to deck 19. I'd add a misting fan to the outside dining areas. There's probably no chance of making the ship all "no-smoking" but if I could...:p What are your ideas?
ColinIllinois Posted June 10, 2016 #2 Share Posted June 10, 2016 Haven rooms for solo passengers, single rate of course. :D
Warm Breezes Posted June 10, 2016 #3 Share Posted June 10, 2016 (edited) Either better ventilation in the Casino area or 2 separate Smoking/Non-smoking Casinos. More whirlpool tubs. Edited June 10, 2016 by Warm Breezes
LrgPizza Posted June 10, 2016 #4 Share Posted June 10, 2016 Pizza. I'd pay several late nights of the cruise for something similar to Blaze Pizza or Project Pie.
dexddd Posted June 10, 2016 #5 Share Posted June 10, 2016 Before opening the thread my thought too was related to pools and making more/bigger. All the new ships I've seen have multiple pools all over the ship it seems. I first saw that purple slide thing on RCCL today and thought that looked neat. Collin - something interesting is that on MSC new ships they have Yacht Club interior rooms which is interesting. Not quite a solo room but we'll have to see if NCL does Haven interiors at any time. LrgPizza Posted June 10, 2016 #6 Share Posted June 10, 2016 [quote=Two Wheels Only;50217214 I'd also steal the thunder from the H.O.T.S. abyss slide by making it a drop waterslide! I'd use that constantly as a regular slide, to get from one part of the ship to another while avoiding the elevators and stairs. As a water slide? I'd never touch it. drvalo Posted June 10, 2016 #7 Share Posted June 10, 2016 I would like to see a midship elevator. Midship cabin locations on any of the NCL megaships are terrible locations for the lack of nearby elevators.
erocrobro Posted June 10, 2016 #8 Share Posted June 10, 2016 I would love to not have to walk through the casino to get someplace. Also, drink stations like on Disney so children didn't have to go to a bar to get a soda. Sent from my iPhone using Forums mobile app

There's probably no chance of making the ship all "no-smoking" but if I could...:p What are your ideas? The stairs in the Haven thing, definitely. I can't tell you how many times I thought I was taking the stairs up to 19, only to realize (AGAIN) that they only go up to 18. I think I did this all week. And while I'd love for the ship to be all non-smoking, I'd settle for at least enclosing the smoking part of the casino.
AtlantaCruiser72 Posted June 10, 2016 #10 Share Posted June 10, 2016 More and larger public spaces/lounges with expansive oceanviews. The Escape was way too closed in and claustrophobic for being such a large vessel. I'd also like to see a more open main pool deck area and the return of a pool to SpiceH20 like on EPIC. mianmike Posted June 10, 2016 #12 Share Posted June 10, 2016 Create a venue for the events such as Deal or no Deal. The atrium is nowhere near equipped to handle the crowds and the acoustics are terrible. Not enough seating. We've been in the atrium doing everything we can to hear the speaker while intermittent screams are coming from O'Sheehans above as some sort of popular sporting event was on the tv's. Another time we were trying to listen to the ship's officer talk while people above were playing air hockey and it was unbelievably loud and made it very difficult to hear the officers. Aquahound Posted June 10, 2016 #13 Share Posted June 10, 2016 What Improvements/Features Would You Like To See On The 3rd Breakaway Plus Ship? First, I'd move Le Bistro to the location of 5 O'Clock somewhere so it has more space and waterfront seating. Second, I'd add a pool to Spice H20 and get rid of that stupid grotto. Third, I'd make the hallways a little wider and reduce the number of rooms so the ship isn't so crowded.
Crusin6 Posted June 10, 2016 #14 Share Posted June 10, 2016 (edited) A completely plexiglass walled in casino so that absolutely no smoke escapes the casino at all Also on the fresh air side of the plexiglass a completely fresh aired casino It can be done A pool in spice and no smoking in spice Sent from my iPad using Forums Edited June 10, 2016 by Crusin6
Two Wheels Only Posted June 10, 2016 Author #15 Share Posted June 10, 2016 More and larger public spaces/lounges with expansive oceanviews. Rare rxlowry Posted June 10, 2016 #16 Share Posted June 10, 2016 A true lounge area for the smaller shows..like Newlywed and Dancing with the Stars. It is horrible in the atrium. Too crowded and so tacky to sit on folding chairs. An adult pool in Spice

AtlantaCruiser72 Posted June 10, 2016 #19 Share Posted June 10, 2016 That's what the Waterfront is supposed to be. Hardly anyone uses it. The waterfront is a waste of space most of the time. Hence why I'd like to see more and larger indoor lounges with unobstructed oceanviews.
FreestyleNovice Posted June 10, 2016 #20 Share Posted June 10, 2016 Collin - something interesting is that on MSC new ships they have Yacht Club interior rooms which is interesting. Not quite a solo room but we'll have to see if NCL does Haven interiors at any time. I think I spotted interior suites on Genting Dream's deck plans. Aimed towards extended families, but still a suite!
ROwens Posted June 10, 2016 #21 Share Posted June 10, 2016 Either better ventilation in the Casino area or 2 separate Smoking/Non-smoking Casinos. More whirlpool tubs. I certainly agree with your suggestion about better ventilation in the Casino area or two separate casinos! Or actually, just don't build anymore of these huge monster ships. Stay with small to medium ships. There are just too many people on the large ships and we avoid them if at all possible.
AtlantaCruiser72 Posted June 10, 2016 #22 Share Posted June 10, 2016 I would also be interested in studio balcony rooms. I think they would be a HUGE hit with solo travelers! I think Haven inside rooms would be a great option, something similar to Royals interconnecting family suites on Anthem with a suite, balcony and interior. All of which can be sold as either one suite or three separate cabins. NCL have the opportunity with their next to ships to do something really special and raise the bar, but sadly I think we will just see the "Escape 2&3", albeit with a few additional passenger cabins. Casino Comp Chick Posted June 10, 2016 #23 Share Posted June 10, 2016 That's what the Waterfront is supposed to be. Hardly anyone uses it. Not true, The smoking side by Maltings & Fat Cats is crowded from early morning till late at night.
Rare aubreyc1988 Posted June 10, 2016 #24 Share Posted June 10, 2016 Better ventilation for casino and make a truly enclosed smoking casino room No more game shows in the atrium, i liked how they did it on the Jewel, in the Spinnaker Lounge OH, and while I agree the waterfront for the most part was empty, I LOVE that its empty so I get to use it! It's seriously my favorite thing about the away ships, the bars and restaurants out by the waterfront, with the nice seating out there
