I've been waiting to book a September 2017 Mediterranean cruise to take advantage of the three for free promotion. Today the prices went up in all categories for this cruise by $100 pp. Nothing is really free anymore. That $200 increase pays for the $200 obc being offered. :eek:

Book it now with a travel agent that doesn't charge rebooking/change fees, and then have them re-fare your trip when the sale comes along.

That way you can get the cabin you want, and the price you want.

I bought a Panama Canal cruise last night and got the Sip and Sale.

Today sip and sale is gone and the fare has increased $50 pp.

I actually just got off the phone with someone at Princess Cruise Travel Planning, and the new promo (3 for free) starts on Tuesday 9/6. Here's the highlights:

 

1. Paid gratuities for guests 1 and 2 per room

2. Free in-class room upgrade (forward balcony to midship balcony, for example)

3. Free OBC (cruises 6 days or longer only)

4. Reduced deposit of $100 pp.

 

Promo is scheduled to run until Nov 16, but it sounds like a "while supplies last" sort of thing, because the person I talked to said it might end early.

I checked on that we have booked. We paid $1299pp and the price went UP to $1849. You just never know.

I put a Window Suite cabin on hold with the Beverage package until today because I thought the new sale started today. When I went to Princess to check the prices, the Window Suite had gone up $600... with NO perks :eek: Needless to say we kept the other price and promotion and booked it ;)

Sacto Rick- the Sip n Sail said summer 2017 but my April 2017 did qualify so I guess you just have to wait and hope.

They didn't specify, but the cruise I was talking to them about is not until Nov 2017, and they didn't say anything about that not qualifying. The way I understand it for this promo, it's the deposit/booking date that matters, not necessarily the cruise date. It looks like others have posted more detailed info, however.

I had looked yesterday and it was still there ---- gone today and also up about the same amount.

 

Glad I did the S & S! We will truly being sipping and sailing regardless! There are no specials associated with it at all today. Limbo land for promotions I guess.

Hi, I am in the UK and have a Scandinavian cruise booked for May 2017. The price of my cruise has gone down £600 today. Even losing the $180 obc that would be quite a saving. There seems to be different promotions offered in the UK.

My 2018 booking shows the same price I got with the Sip n Sail. My 2017 28 day cruise now shows as $300 pp more than I got it with the Sip n Sail.

 

I'll wait for the 3 For Free to book my next cruise. I can't wait until October of next year for a cruise...

I am wondering if we would have to choose between the Princess OBC and our AmEx Platinum OBC. Sure would be nice to have both.
