AtlantaCruiser72 Posted September 20, 2016 #3 Share Posted September 20, 2016 New specialty restaurant? Sent from my SM-G930T using Forums mobile app Either that or an expansion of the culinary arts center demo kitchen/dining venue from the Konigsdam to other ships in the fleet would be my guess :D
Krazy Kruizers Posted September 20, 2016 #4 Share Posted September 20, 2016 For a couple of years HAL had the Culinary Art's dinner one night a week in the Queen's lounge. I remember it from the Westerdam in 2006 or 2008.

Rare TiogaCruiser Posted September 20, 2016 #13 Share Posted September 20, 2016 Though I like the show and the presentation of thescience behind food prep, I'm not likely to spend cruise time that way. Now, if the next offering is a partnership with This Old House, and Norm is refurbishing teak decks or building steamers, count me in.:D

Sequim88 Posted September 20, 2016 #15 Share Posted September 20, 2016 This is good. Been a regular fan of the shows for years. Nice to see it should be on Oosterdam by June. But wondering how much the hands-on classes will cost. Also wondering if the schedule of classes and demos will be available on-line so we can plan shore excursions around them. Alaska is so port intensive. But these would be really great on a TA.

RuthC Posted September 21, 2016 #22 Share Posted September 21, 2016 This is what HAL is calling "exciting" these days? Nothing at all like what they were not that many years ago. :(
Viesczy Posted September 21, 2016 #23 Share Posted September 21, 2016 Cooking classes and exciting are farther apart than the Moon and the Earth. A fire during said cooking classes, that's exciting! :D
Heartgrove Posted September 21, 2016 #24 Share Posted September 21, 2016 What a stroke of luck! We are on the Westerdam the first week of November. Having three sea days should be conducive for conducting the classes.
Taters Posted September 21, 2016 #25 Share Posted September 21, 2016 I will be bypassing this "exciting" event! I cruise to get away from my kitchen and love the fact that the magic happens behind closed doors. Watching someone cook is not my thing. Yawn...
