Thank you Roger for everything you did for the roll call. Walt and I enjoyed touring the ship, the meet and greet, lunch, and viewing the canal from your balcony. You and Joanie were so gracious to let us join you out there. And thank you, thank you for the spectacular calendar. :)

Finally back on solid ground here in the Hilton Marina Hotel here in FT Lauderdale.

Disembarkation was a breeze with no waiting. Leaving at 9:30 worked well this time. Our porter managed to snag us a taxi that was dropping off passengers right where Joanie was turning her rental scooter. At a snail pace, Joanie would take forever to get across the street to the taxi waiting area. We were at our hotel by 10:00 AM. Of course early check-in didn't start until noon.

Some miscellaneous notes:

I checked my bill night using the ship's Navigator web page and determined that I needed to play the slot machines to use some of my excess OBC. Not feeling so lucky, I just cashed in my bank.

When I retired last night, I owed HAL $30 and my final bill this morning showed they owed me $130. The accounting folks refunded the two PG/Le Cirque dinners that Joanie could not make as well as $98 for our "gift" beverage cards from our Explore4 package that we did not use. When we checked-in, we each received $50 cards and I received an additional $100 card. Only our final credit card charge will confirm the Explore4 beverage card refunds.

I have now confirmed with my credit card company that I did indeed receive a refund for unused Explor4 beverage cards and my casino charges were considered "on-board charges".

Calendars will be mailed next week.

Joanie enjoyed her last cruise and especially those chocolate truffles from the Neptune Lounge. Thanks to all who have wished her well.

I think I have answered all of the questions posted on this thread and addressed all issues that I thought were important to those who will follow on the Zuiderdam.

Joanie has insisted that I keep cruising so I look forward to seeing fellow CC members on my future cruises but probably without calendars.

Would you mind asking Clifford if he will by chance be on the NA in April? It would be great if he were.

You may have missed one question. I don't recall seeing the answer to Sapper's question.

There are several people interested in the answer, and I remember you mentioned speaking to Clifford about it, but didn't say where he would be.

n your post aboutg your calendars?, you mentioned someone named Maureen. Who is that? Not all of us know just from that fleeting referencd.

Maureen is cruisersm&w and she posted in comment #92 and signed her comment "Maureen". She was on the cruise with her husband.

Please refer to post #69 of this thread where the requester cancelled their request and will be contacting Clifford via email. Perhaps they will share what they have learned from him.

I would be pleased to share and be helpful if I knew the answer, as you claim to, but my friend who sent the email has not heard back. She said Clifford only answers emails when he can get to wifi in port.

I will be happy to come back here to let people know if she gets an answer.

If I can ever be of assistance to you in a cruising matter please feel free to ask and I would be more than happy to help.

Crew News, just can't thank you enough for all your wonderful reporting, and the time you have taken, and are going to take, to post menus and On Locations, and photos. We take this cruise in 52 days, and you've done so much to enhance not just our cruise, but the anticipation of it.

Heartfelt thanks!

Thanks for the compliment. I have learned a lot about photography, website management, HAL operations, and many great folks along the way. FWIW I have updated by website with all of the menus (including Vegan) for both 10- and 11-day Caribbean cruises, On Locations for the 10-day Panama Canal, new Canaletto menu, new Le Cirque menu, MDR Vegetarian menu, Half Moon Cay Butler menu, etc... It will be awhile before I can complete my excursion photos. Hope this helps in your planning.

On your home page, check out the beverage menu link under previous 2016 revisions. It takes me to a password page.

Crew News - thanks for posting the On Locations and menus so quickly - they actually answered most of my questions ....... except ..... did you get any info on whether the "Elite" beverage package can be upgraded to from the signature, even if the signature was a promo (Explore4 for example)? There seems to be no set answer to this and calling HAL yeilded a blank - the agents there told me there is no Elite beverage package ....
