events on the lawn?

Three years back they held sailaway parties on the lawn after each port on our 14 night Caribbean sailing. They handed out blankets and served wine ($, but covered under classic package) and cheese. Folk singer sang. Really nice. One of our favorite memories.

Last spring on same itinerary they only did it once. Hope it's still being done.

A friend says she much enjoyed musical events held on the lawn a few years ago. Do these events still exist?

On one night during our 7 day cruise, there was a folk singer on the lawn. Blankets were available as was cheese and crackers. Drinks were available $$$.

I had a wine and cheese event with a singer in the Silhouette maybe in Dec 2015. It was one of our favorite events. I haven't seen it again. I even asked every time I got on the ship (Equinox, and Reflection) and no one knew anything about this type of events.

They had Sangria and Tapas on the Lawn with a duo on the Jan22-Feb5 cruise on the Eclipse this year. We didn't get to that one.

Have enjoyed the Wine and Cheese on the Lawn events in the past on the Reflection a couple of times and hope they have it in September on our next cruise. On the last one they had little blue tea lights on the lawn - it was a lovely night under the stars, with our favorite cruise duo, Walker Black. :)

Lawn events seem to be the under the choice of the Cruise Director.

In April on Reflection, there were several events.

In the Med last year on Constellation, we had two night music events with dancers and Dj's.

The events sound nice and special. Hope they CD's see value in them and hope passengers utilize the event opportunity otherwise they will go away based on participation.

If there are events is the only seating on a blanket on the lawn would there be any other type of seating? Don't think I would be able to sit on a blanket on the lawn.:(:o

They furnished seat backs that don't help much.

We have been on a few cruises where they had lawn events. A few were wine and cheese for a sail away party. Kind of idiotic as most just grabbed a glass of wine or the food and then went and stood by the rail, and why not it, it is a sail away. Plus the grass was wet because they water it with a sprinkler system and some were on.

Other times it was during a formal night. Smart to have people dressed for formal night sitting on the lawn and ladies walking with heels.

Other times they were scheduled but canceled because of the weather. It was either too windy or raining. Then when it didn't rain they would make sure that they watered the lawn prior to it so the grass would be wet.

They would usually have the soloist lounge player and from our experience most of them are not very good.

Happy cruising 🌊🚢🇺🇸🌞

On Eclipse, Equinox and Solstice you can sit on benches by Corning Glass Works.
