CC Stateroom embarkation lunch

On the Celebrity website it says that a featured amenity of a Concierge Class stateroom is an Exclusive embarkation day lunch. Anyone know where they do this on Summit?

We've stayed in numerous CC staterooms and have never heard of this before.

As noted by another poster the lunch is held in the MDR. I believe it is held from 11:30-1:00. Times will be posted. A pre-set menu with a choice of appetizer, entree and dessert.

Having Concierge Class guests attend the lunch in the MDR alleviates some of the crowds in the buffet area.

The luncheon is in the MDR between 11:30 and 1:00. They started doing the luncheons last year around June or July. It's a limited but nice menu and they put your carry on luggage aside so you don't have to deal with it while eating. It was a nice way to begin a cruise without battling the overcrowded buffet while juggling hand luggage and searching for seats. By the time lunch was over our staterooms were ready.

Soooooooo happy to hear this, I hated the cattle call at the buffet!

You will be seated at a shared table. The waiter will take your orders when the table fills. You can also get wine or beer with your lunch if you have a drink package.

It is a nice lunch and a lot less hectic than in the Oceanview buffet. It is not, however, the main reason anyone should decide on Concierge Class.

You can't get a table for two?

On the Summit last month, we asked to be seated by ourselves and it was not a problem. We were 3 but I would think they would honor the request for two as well. When we ordered our main course they also asked for our dessert order.

It was a nice relaxing lunch.

You can ask, but why, on the embarcation day would you not want to sit with some other passengers? Who knows - they just might turn out to be your next best friends.

Maybe because you want to eat when you get there, not when someone else saunters in and gets assigned to your table Or maybe you like being with your own group and not make small talk with strangers assigned to you table.
