Pencruise Posted February 20, 2018 #101 Share Posted February 20, 2018 No elevator waiting, how is that possible? Do they have the new express buttons? We stay on 17, and there is always elevator waiting. I meant to get into the Suite Lounge :D !
Pencruise Posted February 20, 2018 #102 Share Posted February 20, 2018 What is the date of your HOTS cruise? We are in GS April 7 and before final payment, nothing available on Deck 17. Then a week or two after final payment, there were at least 8 L1 & L2 Suites Open on Deck 7. I tried to upgrade but since we had Casino rates on our original booking, it was going to be $3,500 to upgrade. We passed. You wonder why NRD came about. Milwaukee Eight Posted February 20, 2018 #103 Share Posted February 20, 2018 Presidents Cruise on Harmony 9/29/18 We declined to book this cruise. We were on Freedom Presidents Cruise. We enjoy the SL and CK as we typically stay in GS. We were told if the SL/CK was important to us, we might want to avoid this cruise. Well, the SL/CK has been a draw for us. Royal C&A is expecting a very large number of P’s on this cruise who also have access to SL/CK. We just thought we would avoid any conflict with access. I did look and the Suite prices have dropped significantly from what they were to book on last years Presidents Cruise. I hope you are a P. If not, good luck and come back and report what they did to manage the large number of P’s along with Suite Guests. Rare A&L_Ont Posted February 20, 2018 #105 Share Posted February 20, 2018 I meant to get into the Suite Lounge :D ! LOL. Two weeks today I was gonna be staring at the elevator bank for the secret express button to get deck 17.:D
Milwaukee Eight Posted February 20, 2018 #106 Share Posted February 20, 2018 She is. Well hopefully she will not have any issues with access. We realized this is a C&A cruise and P’s are a major part of that. On Freedom, Royal did a pretty good job entertaining both the Suite and P’s on the cruise. cruisegirl1 Posted February 21, 2018 #108 Share Posted February 21, 2018 Was it for something other than beer or wine? Sent from my iPhone using Forums Yes, it was for vodka and soda. It was during the standard C&A cocktail hours, and on the oasis, which (I didn’t realize at that time ) allowed you to use vouchers in dining venues during cocktail hours. I totally expected to pay for the drink. I never ordered any wine with dinner. We brought our bottle in every night we ate there. I know that as a non full suite passenger below pinnacle, that I am not eligible for any complimentary alcohol. I don’t even know what is offered. Wine and beer only with dinner? Of course, the full bar is right there and if during cocktail hours I guess eligible suite guests can get another drink. Is the CK wine the same as what is offered in the DL and allowable in bars. I generally don’t care for it and would prefer to drink my own wine. Looking forward to more opportunities to enjoy CK. Thx. M

M Our experience is that the SL/CK complimentary wines are not much different, if any, than the wines served in the DL or what you can get with your voucher. Can't remember if it was Oasis or Allure but did enjoy a nice Sauvignon Blanc. As for the reds.....I'm with you and would rather drink something else than what they serve. cruisegirl1 Posted February 21, 2018 #110 Share Posted February 21, 2018 So you are unaware of any guests of JS being refused from dinning in the CK? Sent from my iPhone using Forums We met some folks in CK, while waiting for our table , who told us their request to bring in friends in a second time was denied. They mentioned they were in a JS. They told us they were going to eat in specialtywith their friends the remaining evenings. Two years ago, we were guests of a couple who were both pinnacle and on a full suite. Yes it is basically the same stuff from the happy hour Diamond wine menu. And you get the same wine 11am to 11pm in SL on Oasis class. Or 1130am to 11pm depending on ship.
