janny444 Posted March 30, 2018 #1 Share Posted March 30, 2018 Hi...just a fun question...I am being curious ( nosy) :D As we know there is food aplenty on board a cruise ship but is there any food/snack/chocolate etc that you just can't do without....mine is Hills Digestive Biscuits and lemon cordial/squash to add to plain water? terrierjohn Posted March 30, 2018 #6 Share Posted March 30, 2018 Always take a few packets of Kit Kats to have with a cuppa if we are in the cabin or balcony.
OctoberSky Posted March 30, 2018 #7 Share Posted March 30, 2018 I'll bring some snacks to have on the plane and stuff for my toddler, but I don't plan to bring food specifically to eat on the ship. I usually travel with peanut m&ms and fruit leathers.
CCFC Posted March 30, 2018 #8 Share Posted March 30, 2018 Proper tea bags and Cravendale filtered milk which tastes like proper milk but lasts for a reasonable time. The "straws" of milk they put on ships these days just don't cut it. Few sugar lumps too.
Rare Presto2 Posted March 30, 2018 #9 Share Posted March 30, 2018 Need to have decaf stuff so always take some Yorkshire decaf teabags for a proper brew or sometimes the M&S ones. Apart from that we sometimes take loads of chocolates with us as we tend to save the ones left from Christmas or Easter and pig out on the ship ;-) Oh, have always taken a 3 litre box of vino but no more as we will be good and abide by the new rules Not long for us to go now ---- Oceana is on her way to Malta to pick us up !!! Goosebear Mum Posted March 30, 2018 #10 Share Posted March 30, 2018 Ginger. Special choccies at Christmas. A few mince pies at Christmas. A few savoury snacks (dates, nut selection, etc) on longer cruises with many sea days. Things I can’t usually get onboard. That’s about all. We mostly cruise at Christmas. Oh and any ‘Betty's Rascals’ that are left over from our travelling down South, as they make great packed lunches at European ports...
eddie11 Posted March 30, 2018 #11 Share Posted March 30, 2018 Occasionally take olives and cured meats, plus little savoury biscuits, for balcony nibbles. Not quite the same without a glass of chilled vino though, so the recent carry-on restrictions may curtail this pleasant activity
