Fishkillbill Posted April 17, 2018 #1 Share Posted April 17, 2018 I have only been on three cruises, twice on Summit and once on Silhouette. On the Summit I had a hand held shower. Once in Aqua class and the other in a regular balcony room. Last week, on the Silhouette we were in a regular balcony room. It didn't have a hand shower. Frankly, it's a "show stopper" for me. I have places I have to get at.

Happy Cruiser 6143 Posted April 17, 2018 #3 Share Posted April 17, 2018 For some strange reason, Celebrity didn't use hand held showers on the S class. One hopes they come to their senses on the Edge and beyond. I've been using a hand held shower forever and it's tough not to have one. And Europeans have been using them far longer and expect them. G.M.T. Posted April 17, 2018 #5 Share Posted April 17, 2018 Just bend over or do a hand stand in the shower.:o
cltnccruisers Posted April 17, 2018 #6 Share Posted April 17, 2018 I wouldn't call it a show stopper but since we switched to one at home it was a disappointment not to have one on Silhouette. I have a friend who travels constantly for work. He always requests one but just in case he keeps one in his trunk so he can swap out.
cltnccruisers Posted April 17, 2018 #7 Share Posted April 17, 2018 Reflection has them, but I did miss them on the Silhouette. We're on Reflection next year. Do you know if they were they in all classes of cabin?
miched Posted April 17, 2018 #8 Share Posted April 17, 2018 Frankly, it's a "show stopper" for me. I have places I have to get at. That is what the pools and hot tubs are for. 😱. And the reason I never go into them. Happy cruising 🌊🚢🇺🇸🌅
scanditaly Posted April 17, 2018 #9 Share Posted April 17, 2018 AFAIK, Solstice class only has them on Aqua, along with the upper suites. I've been on the corner aft sky suites, and remember the high tub but can't seem to recall the shower head. I think not..........but don't quote me. Rare hcat Posted April 17, 2018 #10 Share Posted April 17, 2018 We travel in S class but never use the hand held feature...I prefer the rainshower effect.....hands free!
CaptCrunch Posted April 17, 2018 #11 Share Posted April 17, 2018 Hand-held showers are definitely on Reflection in a Sky Suite. Can’t speak to any other class of room on Reflection.

I didn't do it this time.
Irish Eyes Are Sailing Posted April 17, 2018 #14 Share Posted April 17, 2018 I vote for hand held showers...on cruises and in hotels...adjustable for height. Not everyone is average height, some are 6'5, and some are 4'11. The adjustable kind of hand held showers like they have in Europe are great, and can be moved to whatever position it is comfortable, depending on your height. And they allow for total cleanliness.....I'm trying to find a socially acceptable way to say it. Anyway, you know what I mean.
Paulras Posted April 17, 2018 #15 Share Posted April 17, 2018 I always wonder how well housekeeping can clean a shower with a fixed shower head Sent from my SM-G950U using Forums mobile app

AtlantaCruiser72 Posted April 18, 2018 #18 Share Posted April 18, 2018 Solstice, Equinox, Eclipse and Silhouette only have the hand-helds in Aqua and Suites, Reflection and Millennium class have them in all classes of rooms. Biggest "fail" of the first four Solstice class in my opinion!!!!!!

Fishkillbill Posted April 18, 2018 Author #20 Share Posted April 18, 2018 What about other cruise lines? Do they have them?
JoyMouse Posted April 18, 2018 #21 Share Posted April 18, 2018 What about other cruise lines? Do they have them? Royal Caribbean has them on Vision, Radiance, and Voyager classes. I can’t speak to the newer ship classes. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
