Best ways to use OBC on the Bliss if you already have the beverage package

I was wondering what people think is the best way to use your OBC on the Bliss if you already have the free beverage package and 3 night specialty dining? We received quite a bit of OBC from both the cruise line, our travel agent as well as our NCL world points. Thanks.

I used mine on upgrading my 250 mins of wifi to the unlimited plan which killed about $120 of it. We also ate at food Republic which is not on the dining plan, and booked things like the prohibition show, lasted tag and the go carts. That atleast a start

Start with grats.

you can not use non-refundable obc for grats. non refundable obc is mostly from travel agent, cruise line and world points.

since you are on the bliss, go on the go kart course a few times

My number one way to use OBC (and all the rest of my money) is in the spa! There are a million ways to use it though. Somebody mentioned Food Republic. On Bliss, Coco’s is a great option too. And there’s always shopping. Seriously, I have no idea how people say they can’t soend their OBC. I’ve never had a problem.

My favorite way to spend any kind of OBC is to buy Cruise Next Certificates. That way your entire next deposit can be free. For only $250 in OBC you can buy two Cruise Next Certificates worth $250 each. An if you use them to book a cruise 6 days or longer, more than 6 months before you cruise, you can use them both on the same cabin.

I agree with the Cruise Next Certificates, but have another idea if you have some left over at the end of your sailing. As long as you've left the daily service charge on your account, you can designate nonrefundable OBC to go as additional gratuities to whomever you like. We had them give part of ours to our room steward, and part to our favorite bartenders. We just told the customer service desk the first names, and where they worked.

I was told by an NCL agent that nonrefundable OBC can not be used to buy Cruise Next Certificate. Can it? I know the agents aren't always right.:o We have $200. as a booking perk plus will get another $250 for Shareholder Credit. Already have UBP and SDP and we don't need more "stuff" Thought I could use it to book a cabana on GSC but we have to pay that upfront. Oh well

I have to say that I agree with extra OBC; how does one use it?

On a 2 week cruise we chose to stay in our cabin and relax for dinner and used the OBC to pay for room service. Better than losing the OBC and we enjoyed a relaxing evening because we had to get up early for a shore excursion. The food was fresh, hot and pretty good; it took 35" to get it which is what I would expect. We did it twice and liked it; we were on the Jade. The Bliss may have more options.

Just an idea.

Safe sailing!!!:)

They didn’t know what they were talking about. I use non-refundable OBC to purchase Cruise Next almost every cruise. I just bought some in Jan 2018 with my shareholder OBC and promo OBC.

Don't take too much notice of what you are told my the NCL agents. It will just cause confusion.

They say you can't do this, but I have. Put card in slot machine at casino, put in amount. pull handle once then cash out. go to casino cashier and get cash.

I do exactly the same and it works

yep, we do this too. for a large enough about of OBC, its worth the 3% fee.

That's what I plan on doing for my upcoming NCL cruises then in turn use that cash to pay the Daily Service Charges.
