Movies filmed on Harmony of the Seas

Recommended Posts

The movie reminded me that life is short. Don't stress over dumb stuff. Appreciate family and friends.

I know the writer and director, Lauren Miller Rogen. She would be glad to hear you got the meaningful message. She has a mom with yearly onset Alz and also included some info on that horrible disease in the movie. I enjoyed watching it and look forward to Harmony coming to Port Canaveral in May. If you have cruised you will see it is not all accurate but still an entertaining movie.

August 11 is “Love at Sea” on the Hallmark Channel. It will be on 9:00pm ET. And probably repeated after that first showing. The movie “Like Father” that Seth Rogen has a part in is streaming on Netflix. You can watch it any time if you have a Netflix subscription. Both movies were filmed on Harmony of the Seas.

Thanks for the Hallmark channel info, that’s tonight, just set the DVR!

Just finished watching this one. Felt very authentic when compared to the Netflix movie, especially when the mother told her daughter to leave her luggage out on the last night. The screenwriter(s) definitely have some cruise knowledge.

The plot wasn't all that exciting, but the ship life was featured way more and Royal Caribbean definitely did more product placement with this movie.

Love at Sea was much more “realistic” than Like Father, for example:

Like Father - they slept through the muster drill.

Love at Sea - if she refused to attend the muster drill, she would be put off the ship.

Love at Sea definitely showed a lot more of the Harmony of the Seas and the ship’s different venues and gets my vote because of this. Like Father was less sugary with more dramatic and comedic moments but too many “that can’t happen” moments that distracted experienced cruisers who know better.

While I probably wouldn’t have watched either if it wasn’t for the fact they were filmed on a cruise ship, I enjoyed both because they were.

After watching both, I’m even happier that I have a cruise coming up October 28th on the Allure. :)

Disagree seemed much smaller than our normal grand suite, but balcony did look like one for a grand suite. We liked the movie had all our favorite things in it NYC, then a rccl ship then the Caribbean.

It was definitely an OS...stayed in one in February. It looks like they walled-over the entrances to the bedroom in this suite and moved the bed into the living room. Easier to film if all in 1 room.

Did anyone watch the movie that was filmed on the Harmony last night on Hallmark? If so what did you think.
Yes...had me on the edge of my seat trying to figure out the order of port stops....they went back to the same islands time and again...labadee 2or3 times... St Thomas 2or3 times, etc.... cruise director finds all that time for romance...quite comical

The room is the Royal Loft Suite. We have stayed in that suite many times on the Oasis Class ships. Originally this suite on the Harmony didn’t have a baby grand piano like the Royal Loft Suite on the Oasis and on the Allure. Many cruisers staying in this suite let Royal Caribbean know they missed the piano. It’s a player piano, and one can bring their own DVD music to insert into the piano. We feel the Royal Loft Suite on the Harmony is smaller than the same suite on the Allure and on the Oasis. The movie kept the same color scheme. These suites have a bedroom and full bathroom on the first level, and a wonderful bedroom and a huge bathroom with a full sized jacuzzi for four. Too bad they didn’t show the outside jacuzzi which can hold a family of six or the huge outside dining table and full bar. We love staying in this suite on the Allure and on the Oasis. Our family likes the color schemes better on the Allure and on the Oasis. This suite is the top Star Class suite which comes with the Genie service. Our family thought it was funny when the mom in the movie reminded the daughter to put out her luggage on the last night. On the departure morning, the Genie and a crew member personally escort your luggage and your party off the ship to customs. All Star class suites have this same Genie service. We have stayed in all of the Star Class suites on Deck 17. The Royal Loft Suite is our favorite. The movie brought back fond memories for all of us. Since we haven’t been on the Anthem, we aren’t familiar with their Star Class Suites.

Just saw the Hallmark one. I assume that one is the Royal Loft, I'm getting confused because now this thread is about 2 different movies. Did not see the Netflix one since we are one of the few non Netflix peeps:halo::halo: Looking forward to the Harmony coming up to PC next year

Have fun on the Harmony. We loved all of the shows, and we enjoyed watching them from the back of the theaters. Some of the staterooms like the Grand Suite is designed differently than the GS’s on the other ships. There is a TV in the bedroom area beside the one in the living room. In the bathroom it is easier to step over the tub. For someone who has mobility problems, the flooring in the public areas is flatter than on the Oasis or the Allure. Even though our family loves Italian food, we haven’t ever eaten at Jamie’s Italian. Our favorites are Coastal Kitchen for breakfast, Sabor’s and Chops for lunch, and 150 Central Park for dinner on the Harmony. If you are Star Class, one can have all of their meals from the specialty restaurants delivered free of room service charges as a perk. Our family lives far away from any port. We saw the 2018 Hallmark “Love at Sea” movie last night.

And how about the ridiculous concept that they have an important cruise with a bunch of bloggers and press and take the experienced CD off and can't find someone else with experience to take his place? And then give said newbie a 6 month contract after the cruise (sorry, spoiler alert on that one).

On the bright side, it was rated TV-G so those who complained about the TV-MA rating of the Netflix movie will be thrilled.

Liked the movie! Enjoyed the bit with the Rising Tides Bar. Also, Bionic Bar was quickly shown as well as Wonderland.

Main theatre looked like Royal Theatre on Harmony. Couldn't place the Karaoke Bar, with a stair going up in the middle.

Karaoke theatre looked kind of like Studio B, except for the tables in front of the seats. Also, they had a raised stage, not just the sliding floor over the ice.

People crack me up. The movie is about a relationship not the cruise or ship itself. It is simply the backdrop for a story, not a documentary.

Did you actually see the Hallmark movie? The ship is definitely the star of the film as the movie itself is just BAD.

Wife is presently watching the Hallmark Channel episode "Love At Sea" and was shot on the Harmony. One of the scenes is the Aft and it's splendorous Boardwalk and the thrilling water slides. Beautiful scenery and beautiful Carib waters.
