Was that for a GS? Was there some sort of casino or other discount?

Yes a GS. It was advertised as Canada Super Sale, no casino or other discounts. I converted what I paid in Canadian to US Dollars for the amounts I posted. This will be my 3rd Alaska cruise. I have never seen a price this low in all the years I have been cruising. Hope the cabin we end up in is better than what I paid for...

Around $50 pp per night with $350 OBC

Mariner Odyssey out of Dubai. 15 night Suez canal. Spring 2018.

Started out as $3000 total for a JS

Price dropped in half when the cancelled the final leg.

Free upgrade to the GS

Plus free drinks in casino when we made friends with the host on the leg out of Singapore

Also have one coming up in August on Harmony for around $2600 all in. Cant do the math in my head

$198 per day, based on 2 in a GS (HOS, August 18, 2019). That was helped by a £375 casino discount and came with $350 OBC ($200 from casino).

I thought this was a crazy low price so am amazed at the other much lower prices I’m reading about.

I amazed at these prices. What is the max occupancy of a GS?

Most hold 4, but there are some that have been converted from other types of suites that hold more.

For example, two bedroom suites on the aft end of some ships hold 8.

Vancouver to Alaska round trip 7 days in July 2019. $48.85 per person per day. Total price of cruise for two people with all taxes and gratuities $1150. US Dollars

That has to be for an inside.

Yup. Cheapest cabin. I have had windows and balconies, never suites. But, for this price inside is fine. Only hope to get a quiet cabin, other than that it doesn't matter to me. We use the cabin only for showering, dressing and things that require the bed... I had a balcony on my first cruise, which was an Alaska cruise, and paid in the area of $4000.00 for 7 nights. We didn't use the balcony much, as we spent most of our time outside of the cabin. Looking forward to spending the $3000.00 I saved, comparing this cruise to the first one. Both on Holland America.

Wouldn't this be a round trip of 14 days?  Radiance does 7 days north with 7 days south to make it a round trip.  I will be boarding her July 12, are you on this cruise?

Sorry, Grand Suite. 😇

Sorry. Not my kind of cabin. Frequent traveler that spends less per trip so I can take more trips. Have been to all 50 states, all the provinces of Canada and 47 Countries. A Grand Suite is not in my budget. Have fun in your suite...

On the explorer in May, we paid £94 per person, per day for a Grand Suite.

We started off with an inside cabin. The price kept dropping & we kept upgrading.

Good price 😀

Not a GS but we got a great deal on an Explorer balcony for August 2018.

Gives me hope that cruise prices from the UK are finally coming down.

Note to self... keep checking those prices.
