Saturday November 3

the Lobby is full of cruisers and at 11:00 many are waiting for cabs.  We just took a walk to the City Cruise Terminal which is about a 15 minute walk away.   Saw about a dozen people with suitcases in hand making their way to the terminal.

We we are going to wait until noon and grab an Uber.   Figured if went earlier we would just be sitting around in Michaels Club waiting for Lumina to open.

Once checked in their was just one party in line for suites. We were escorted to Michaels club.  Rooms expected at 1:00 pm

From the itinerary change I’m expecting some rough seas on the first couple says bu look like the captain has made a wise decision to work his way south to calmer weather.

Safety is top priority 🙂

Good luck with global entry. Make sure your appointment is in a.m.   when we got our there was a couple there that had a 2:00am appointment instead of PM.

Luckily they hey said they would process them.

You will love TSA Pre.   The now have pre for international at SFO.

Have a look at channel 2 on the stateroom television and there is a weather update from Captain George explaining the new route, how it differs from the original route and how we are missing the weather systems hitting the original route.

Using the ships wifi with the new CC software.  Taking about 1 minute to upload a 2 meg picture.

One thing I have learned is you have to keep IPhone open until upload is complete or you get this

Our favorite waiter, Sony, has been in Luminae on our last 3 Silhouette sailings.  If you run into him tell him Mary Lou & Mike said hello and we lost his email address. Thanks

Glad that Cruise Critic is back up and able to post.   I'll try to get caught up today.

As an update we are heading Southwest and off the coast of northern France.   Seas are moderate with swells that are causing the ship to sway quite heavily.

Have a wonderful cruise!

I hope the high wind warnings are just a precaution and that you have smooth seas.

Sometime during the cruise can you ask Sue if she expects to be the "regular" cruise director for the Silhouette in the future. We're on the ship for a little over a month in February and I've found that the atmosphere around the ship in the evening really varies according to who is cruise director. Sue is one of the best and really makes sure there is lots going on.

Thanks
