RoyalUP? (Bid for stateroom upgrade)

I booked a GTY balcony on Allure sailing 1/30 this Wednesday. Was assigned the room on Friday and received the RoyalUp email 2hrs later.  I put min bids on all that were available.  I'm hoping we will get something given the reduced capacities.

My Dad won his RoyalUp Junior Suite bid for Odyssey 1/15 from a balcony room for $220 pp (him and his girlfriend)=$440.  This particular sailing is charging $2930 pp for new Jr Suite bookings-he got a steal!

I am once again...totally annoyed with the handling of the Royal UP.   IMHO...the program needs to let you know the day before...or at the very latest...the morning of.  

 

Once again, no email...nada...zip...and I am already on the ship again.   If they think they are going to once again send me the denial email in the middle of the night well after sail away.....think again $$$ Upgrade fairy!  I just cancelled all three of my well over the minimum upgrade bids.  Tired of this game.

On Harmony this Sunday the 16th, just got email that I won a Royal Up bid from GS to CLS.

 

Min bid was 350x2, I bid 360

There were lots of CLSs on HM for 1-16-2022.  My bid for a GS expired but my bid for a CLS is pending.

I agree! Reading the many negatives of the Royal Up program I was not expecting to actually win. I almost pulled out many times  due to worrying about possibly winning, but being assigned an Aft facing. I won on all accounts! Ocean View facing, and found out 6 days in advance.

We boarded Odyssey yesterday.  I got the notification last night at 8:10PM AST (so 7:10 PM EST) that our offer was declined.  We were in the casino at the time making a donation and I did not actually see the email until this morning.  

 

We are in a balcony and minimum bid to a GS was $100.  We bid low at $115 a person.  BTW the same thing also happened to us in the summer when we bid on a GS from a balcony.  I think we got notification that it was unsuccessful while we were in the MDS for dinner.

A bit confused...My UpBid (GS to OS) was still showing pending last night for my Jan 17th Navigator cruise. I just checked and it's now showing UPGRADED....No email or notice from my credit card yet.

I see many posts of rejections after boarding but what about acceptance after boarding?   I would just assume they notify wins first and so if no notice prior to boarding  just assume  decline.

I am on Odyssey on 1/29 and I bid on 5 options from Spacious Balcony to GS, this morning they were all pending, I just checked and all but Jr. Suite show Expired. Jr. Suite still showing Pending...should i be cautiously optimistic?

Oh well… We only put in bids for two different suites on the Allure. Started a online booking earlier today to see what was still available and only ONE of our upgrade choices was available. Checked just now and both of our choices are gone!😭😭😭  Assume since I haven’t heard anything (though both bids still show PENDING?) that we didn’t score the upgrade. Rats!!  Maybe next time!  But still excited and can’t wait til Sunday!!  Good luck to those still waiting!

Our group had a couple of bids out there. We got one upgrade from Crown Loft to Royal Loft, and another upgrade was from a large balcony room to a JS. We still have one more room that hasn't been upgraded yet. This is for Harmony on Jan 16th.

I just bid on the same upgrades from a JR Suite. Curious, what were your winning bids?
