Playing slots during rough weather

Recommended Posts

Has anyone had any luck with this? While on our first cruise in 2015 aboard enchantment we experienced some really rough weather, outside was closed off, couldn't do coco cay due to tenders tipping and so on and so forth. Neither my wife or myself had ever set foot in a casino before so we had no idea what to expect. sure enough we were killing the slots the whole trip. Beginners luck I thought but when we were shuttling back to the airport other cruisers expressed the same thing and one mentioned that when the ship is tossing around like that the machines are thrown out of calibration causing more winners. Anyone have any input? Cruises since have not been that rough and we have not had any success in the casino. By the way, despite the weather we had the time of our lives and haven't looked back since. Its the cruising life for us!!

Sounds totally bogus - kinda hard to get electronics out of calibration by motion - these are not mechanical slots.

Beginners luck. Nothing mechanical in slot machines any more. What gets displayed on the reels are determine by a random number generator on a computer chip, not any mechanical spinning of a wheel.

But it if you played a lot, your next cruise could be free from Casino Royale.

Wow

We had severe rough seas on our second to last night on the Explorer this summer heading to Vancouver BC.

Barf bags everywhere for the taking

Decided to spend some time and money in the casino......yup we spent time and MONEY!

No loose slots for us

And the ship was rockin and rollin!!!!!!!

Safe travels

Don't know about the slots....But you can play close to those quarter pushing machines....You will hear them fall and win big 🙂  :classic_laugh:

I spend a lot of time in the casino and always look at the bins for quarters that drop because of the swaying of the ship.   But then when I find some (which happens frequently) I just reinvest them and lose them.    How’s that for stupidity!!😝😝😝

When Crown Princess tipped due to crew coming out of Canaveral in 2006 a lot of the slots tore out and fell over.  No coins even then.  No one hurt since they hadn't opened yet.

Only difference we have ever seen was stool sometimes feels like it is tipping over.

We were on Explorer a number of years ago when she suffered a stabilizer malfunction.  Ship leaned sharply to starboard and remained tilted for several minutes.  Liquor display carts rolled out of gift ship and down promenade before crashing, leaving broken bottles everywhere.  Portofino lost a good portion of their china.  DD kept her head, ran to casino, and scooped up  two containers of coins from quarter pushing machine.
