NJ&Ozzie Posted January 5, 2019 #1 Share Posted January 5, 2019 Hi, Just reading some reviews of Rhapsody & Vision - see that there are no refrigerators in inside/ocean view cabins. Not sure about balcony. Always like to have a fridge - to keep water/vino cool. Is not having one a hassle? Have never been on a Vision class ship before & thinking about it. Wondered if the cabins are that much smaller than normal too. One reviewer mentioned cabin attendant would bring you a fridge if you asked. Anyone had any experience with this? Will they bring you a fridge on these ships? Thanks for all replies! NJ

If you need something to keep wine cool, they will bring you a plastic container for the wine and keep it filled with ice. If you need more, bring a collapsible cooler and they will keep that filled with ice.

A nice tip to your cabin steward if you don't have a fridge in your cabin usually helps.

Thanks, NJ I think they are a little smaller than the ones you are used to seeing on bigger Royal ships. Rare little britain Posted January 5, 2019 #14 Share Posted January 5, 2019 (edited) No fridge in ocean view in Rhapsody FYI. No obvious place to put one either. We had 3 ice buckets trying to keep the bottles of wine/water/soda cold lined up along the floor.....😬 Edited January 5, 2019 by little britain

creel5857 Posted January 6, 2019 #16 Share Posted January 6, 2019 Not sure about other rooms but we are on vision right now and it is lacking outlets badly. We have junior suite with no outlets by bed so we have huge extension cord of ship strung across floor to provide power to husband cpap.......didnt tape the cord down or anything?? We have a coffee pot in the junior suite but there is no power outlet anywhere near it??? We knew there would be some problems with being on a small, older ship and we are realizing it more and more. Pretty typical of most Royal ships. Those JS's never have outlets for the coffee maker.

pcur Posted January 6, 2019 #22 Share Posted January 6, 2019 On the Rhapsody last March, we requested a fridge to be in the cabin through our travel agent. It was there, next to the vanity/drawers. We had a connecting door to the next cabin there that was not being used, so they placed it there. If the cabin is not a connecting one, it will be placed under the vanity in the open space. You will not be able to put the chair there, by the way.
