The real question remains - what show will be replacing Cats?    Has there been any info leaks...or just the typical requests?

And what's wrong with Cats?  I saw it a couple of times many years ago and it will be nice to see it again.

Historically, the Broadway shows only run for 5 years.

Just wanted to add that Blue Planet on Allure was absolutely amazing!!  Also saw Mamma Mia which was equally entertaining.

We have enjoyed all of the shows,  but look forward to seeing the new shows and renovations.  Oasis refurb completion is planned for Nov 23, 2019 (7 months and counting).   A new show / set can take years to organize, therefore a large # of people would know by now.   I have been holding off booking Oasis again pending the RC enhancement details.

We just saw these shows on Allure last week:

Mama Mia 

Blue Planet

Ocean Aria

Ice Games

 

All of these were the best shows that we've ever seen on a cruise ship! Outstanding!

The Oasis class has only been in existence for ten years.

 

When Oasis went in for her first drydock, the Broadway show was switched from Hairspray to Cats.

 

But when Symphony was launched last year, her Broadway show was...……...Hairspray.

 

When Allure went in for her first drydock, the Broadway show was switched from Chicago to Mamma Mia.

 

Harmony and Symphony haven't reached the five year mark.

 

Not much "history" here.

Historically definition is - in accordance with or with respect to history.

 

As far as Hairspray, not a fan, and Royal is either cheap or unimaginative. 😉

I really loved Chicago and would not of minded seeing that again. Hairspray was average on Oasis was not thrilled that it was on Symphony. Would rather watch Cats.🐈🐯 I was told Hairspray has been improved.🤦‍♀️
