Rare Radio Posted May 11, 2019 Author #229 Share Posted May 11, 2019 (edited) Hello everyone and good day. . . The last day of the cruise is always the worst day. Knowing that you will have to leave soon seems to bring a feeling of sadness and despair. But when you think back from the last seven days and remember how great your experience it seems to make things a little better. I had a wonderful cruise and even though I have not sailed Celebrity in 7 years I can still remember several things that stand out as Celebrity memories. In no specific order, those would include Great food, Beautiful Accommodations, No Announcements (except for the Captains daily 10 am talk). Other small things that bring a smile are small rolled towels in the restroom for drying, Celebrity Life Activities, and “not having to sign out for pool towels”. These things seem trivial but they are welcomed and are not found on every cruise line. The weather today started out to be promising, but heavy clouds have since rolled in and the wind and seas are getting heavier. Some rain has been on and off but we are expected to arrive at the pilot station in Bayonne around 6 am. I was happy to enjoy the Captains Talk with Captain Ioannis in the Theater today. I also enjoyed some relation in the Solarium and a different kind of relaxation in Fortunes Casino. It seems that a decision has been made that there will be no Le Petit Chef in Qsine for the foreseeable future. I received 2 different answers to this question while on board. The delightful Guest Services representative suggested that passengers were sometimes concerned about being allergic to certain foods when they appeared via animation on the table and tableware. One of the Beverage Managers suggested that only 4 Ships currently have Le Petit Chef, and there has been a hold due to passenger feedback. It appears that Qsine without Le Petit Chef seems to have much better customer feedback. . . So until that changes, there will be no further Le Petit Chef. Here are a few pics from today . . . Thanks for tuning in. Radio The Oceans Ahead Captains talk was entertaining I am surprised that the Captain did this without a team of Officers with him Captain Ioannis often brings some humor when he speaks I don't need a straw with this drink I enjoy the sights from the back of the ship I had lunch out here for several days. . . Rooftop Terrace films were popular this week Scooter and Wheelchair access to Deck 12 Heavy clouds and rain The beautiful Cosmopolitan Restaurant Our current Location Edited May 11, 2019 by Radio

I've been hoping for Qsine and not LPC when we are on board in September, so that seems possible now. Sorry you are sailing into rain... Safe travels home tomorrow, and thanks again for taking us along on your cruise!

CHEZMARYLOU Posted May 12, 2019 #247 Share Posted May 12, 2019 Thanks for the review and pictures, it's been a long time since we sailed to Bermuda. I'm glad to hear Qsine will stay the same on M class for the foreseeable future. LPC does not offer much in the way of choices and with only Tuscan and Sushi on 5 choices are really limited.

Rare Radio Posted May 12, 2019 Author #249 Share Posted May 12, 2019 Hello everyone and Good Morning. Welcome to DAY 8 of "LIVE" from Celebrity Summit. Summit has arrived. We are securely docked at Cape Liberty in Bayonne, NJ. Currently, it is rainy and cold (48f). Debarkation will begin in just a few moments(8 am). I am driving home so there is no need to get off of the ship early. I am actually spending the night up here to avoid I-95 for 4 hours in the rain. I will drive home tomorrow with good weather. I must re-read my "LIVE" post as I am not sure if I answered all the questions. I have a lot more photos to post, and documents to scan (Celebrity Today) for the whole cruise. It makes me happy to post "LIVE" and a special Thank You to many of the nice comments that have been posted this week. Thanks for tuning in, but STAY TUNED, as there will be many more images, vids, and posts. Radio Early Morning at the Sunset Bar was very cold The Debarkation area was set up at Radio Dark30 on the Promenade Deck (Deck 4) We will pass under the Verrazano Bridge soon There is plenty of room for Summit under the bridge We made it with no worries. We begin to back up to the Pier area. The weather is worse than when we boarded last week. Celebrity Summit approaches the pier slowly We have made it. We're back😉 4
Rare Alsmez Posted May 12, 2019 #250 Share Posted May 12, 2019 Thanks for a great review. We're on Summit for the first time in a week so I have been following with interest. Hoping for better weather though - bummer to disembark in this cold and rain!
