Your mileage may vary.......I will NOT barge ahead of anyone else by flashing a black card.  I enjoy the laundry, the bar setup, the discount and definitely use the free internet minutes.  Those do not diminish anyone else.  But just because I have a black card, that does NOT make me any better than any other cruisers, therefore I will not put them down.

Excuse me? Put them down? First of all I don’t barge in front of anyone - if there is a line to leave the ship when tendering and we are able to head directly down due to bypassing the dining area we join the BACK of the line. If we report to the dining area and they pass us into the next group escorted down to tender by virtue of our black card we join the group and exit accordingly. How on earth is that “putting anyone down”? If you choose not to use your priority tendering benefit or priority line at Passenger Services that’s your choice. We enjoy the opportunity to exit the ship as soon as possible and are happy to have that benefit as Elite passengers. For you to express that people using a benefit that is OFFERED by Princess to passengers who have achieved a level of loyalty status makes them guilty of diminishing others is pretty outrageous. Don’t use it if you find it so uncomfortable but please don’t label those who do.

On our cruise last January, for priority tendering we went to the same dining room but were ushered into a different area. We were then escorted ahead of the non-priority tendering people, so, no one felt 'bad'.

Anytime we went to the DR for a tender they just told us to get on the line going out the door to board.

Exactly!

Sorry no offer yet. My guess is that if it is offered, it will be for people in a new category of the Captain's Circle. Probably need 500 to a 1000 days to qualify.

That sounds good to me and I won't care who sees me bypassing that tender line either. It would be worth it. 😁

If I am right about a new category, there will rarely be enough super elites boarding a given tender for anyone to care.

Very true. There might be 10 or 12 people at the most on a given cruise & it would hardly be noticeable.

I can't see them adding a level above Elite.  Will infuriate their most loyal customers.  Not that they aren't doing that now with the removal of some benefits.

Do you get irritated if people in full suites get extra benefits that even Elites don't receive?

If a dozen people were to get something special would that take anything away from the others?

It's not like everyone would have their perks reduced or eliminated but just something special for their most loyal customers.

Personally I view it as just another level to shoot for someday in the future.

Not as long as those benefits are individual and do not take anything away from others. But I do like a cruise that treats access to all public spaces equally no matter if it your first cruise or 50th. I think Princess has just about the right balance.

No

You don't shoot for or earn Captain's Circle benefits. Over time you actually pay for them. Think about the total cost for say just 20 cruises. The benefits are nice to have, but they are just one marketing tool to get you to book another Princess cruise. That is how I see them.

Benefits such as the shareholder and military are also nice and apply to all that qualify. You see lots veterans on board. The military benefit recognizes them and also provides a financial incentive to book again with Princess.

See above

Many existing Elite cruisers will thoroughly welcome an additional level above the current Elite tier.  Do not forget that 10% - 30% may immediately qualify for the next level should one be introduced.  Removal of benefits now may be the precursor with some benefits coming back.

It is not possible for everybody to be special in any context.

Give the 'super-elite' back their comped unlimited internet, and some kind of nice (50%?) discount on a PBP for turning in their mini-bar

I would not object, especially if I was getting some additional perk (such as priority tendering back to ship).

I think the super elite perks would likely NOT be ones that cost Princess money.  Things like priority tendering back to the ship or priority seating for dinner.

I've come to the conclusion that people who are against any additional perks for the higher Elites are just jealous because a select few people would receive something they're not.

Not that it would cost Princess anything other than goodwill but somehow I don't believe it will ever come about.

As I recall, in February at Princess Cays, there was a separate Elite line for the return trip. I may not be remembering correctly. Can anyone else confirm this?
