Hurricane Dorian talk

Recommended Posts

We were  supposed to be on a B/B on the Harmony leaving from Port Canaveral on Sept. 1st thru the 15th. We got a notice that we would be leaving on the 4th Then 2 days later we would leave on the 5th, thats were it stands now. So from a 14 day cruise its down to a 10 & not sure of that yet. Hope we make it on board on the 5th because we are celebrating our 62nd annv. & are expecting a gift from Mr Bailey, his sec. said it was a surprise, hope she didnt forget because we have been going nuts trying to figure out what it could be. Wish us luck.

I wonder how they got those photos. Webcam?

We visited Disney’s Castaway Cay after a hurricane a few years back - granted nowhere near as powerful as Dorian. They had it cleaned up quickly but many of the trees were damaged and most of the vegetation was browned by the salt water.

Hopefully Royal will be able to support those employees who live on Abaco.

There are a few people on the island I guess...and they also have mobiles?

Has anyone who is booked on one of the shortened sailing inquired into upgrades? I am sure some of these sailing will be mostly empty and wondering if there are any good inexpensive options?

Don’t know about the other ships, but on harmony they are offering suites to current suite passengers first, and then to other current passengers before opening them up to customers boarding on thursday. We’re waiting on an upgrade, and the next cruise staff said that Miami probably won’t start the process until later this evening, or early tomorrow morning. Apparently they’re still reconciling all of the cancellations to know what inventory will be available.

I contacted the concierge on Allure and she told me they have no idea of who is coming or not since there will be a lot of no shows and any upgrades won’t happen until after sail away  for any rooms that were not cancelled in advance. I am already in a Grand suite and would to get back into a loft suite. Either way I’m happy to be sailing

Allure is on the port schedule with a 5:15am arrival.  It is showing as scheduled right now, not confirmed.

Thanks. Port Everglades is now open so it is looking good for our sailing.

They update that schedule as they get any information on delays or early arrivals, so at least it isn't showing it coming in late.  Hope you get your upgrade once you board. 🙂

Currently on Navigator 8/30 sailing in a junior suite. We thought the same thing about upgrading and was told to come back after the ship pulled away which we did and was told that there were no upgrades were available above our category

We live in Melbourne, Florida. As of now not sure if we can make it to Port Everglades tomorrow. Will have to wait and see if we experience any property damage tonight. If we do not sail, Crown Loft # 1756 will be available.

I was wondering in you were on board. Hopefully you will be able to stay with no damage  to your house. Royal  confirmed that pe is open for business.

It is, but two problems.

1) Laura is B3B on Mariner already

2) no dog sitter available for Bella

Another time, maybe

Yes.  Was told it was only for the current passengers on the ship.
