No doubt they paid big bucks to an advertising agency to come up with them.  Its like Uniworld thinks that millenials can't remember a name longer than 1 letter!

Definitely added with the change. I can't recall what was there on our cruise in 2015. It's great to have facilities onboard, if you don't get complimentary laundry.

When they were in the regular Uniworld fleet, they were called River Ambassador and River Baroness.  So I hope they didn't pay too much for these 'creative' new names!  If the sub-brand succeeds, which Uniworld ship begins with 'C'?

Packing could depend on how long your trip is and how long you will be away from home. My wife and I were gone 2 weeks with an 8 day river cruise on Scenic. I had them launder all of my socks, underwear and a few crew necks for a total of 26 Euro which allowed me to be fresh for week two. Remember that the people on the ship are not keeping track of what you wear day to day and you will never see the majority of them again.  I know I packed 1/2 of what my wife had. I pair of casual shoes, 1 pair of dress shoes.Jeans, khakis (2 colors), dress slacks. 1 dress shirt. 1 week's worth of essentials.  Good to go

DW and I discovered a great idea for travel... Disposable underwear. We purchase it through Amazon and just dump it after a day. We get the "paper" kind (think of hospital gowns), not the cotton.

I keep all my underwear that develops holes, and, instead of throwing it out then, I take it on trips and dispose of it as I go. Sometimes I have enough for most of a trip, other times barely any.

I was on Crystal Ravel last week and they had a self-service washer and dryer with all the supplies for free for guests to use.  My husband did laundry about halfway through the cruise - no one else was using it so he was able to do the laundry immediately.

They use Ariel which is a sister detergent to Tide and made by the same company (Proctor and Gamble). Apparently the word "Tide" is similar to an offensive word in one language in Europe.

LOL!  The first time I went to Australia I had brought along several issues of People Magazine and my inlays were shocked - in Australia there is a magazine called People that is pornography.  I had to explain to them the American People Magazine was just a Hollywood gossip magazine.

I work at a University and went to a teaching demo for a Marketing professor who was from Turkey. Her demo was on "international marketing" and that was one of the examples they used (Tide).

I know what you mean. In high school we had a new student from the Turks and she asked if anyone had a rubber that she could borrow!!!! You can imagine how that went over with a bunch of 10th graders!!
