grapau27 Posted May 30 #59028 Share Posted May 30 Good morning. It is 11°C and partly sunny here. HAL Statendam is in Newcastle today and Royal Caribbean Brilliance of the seas is also getting rudder repairs on the Tyne so we will pop along some time today to see them. I hope everyone is safe and well and we all have an enjoyable day.
Josy1953 Posted May 30 #59029 Share Posted May 30 Another day starting with rain here. I am back on dog walking duty this morning so I think that I will keep him for the day because the grumpy teenagers won't want to get up and walk him. Have a good day everyone.
kalos Posted May 30 #59030 Share Posted May 30 Weather for ducks ? We are dry at the moment only one quick shower early on . Funny how we have our lives revolve around them ,as above with the weather , if your rubbish at cricket you can be out for one . Corrie years ago ,Hilda had them on the wall. My daughter even has one for Christmas lunch . Folk take plastic ones into baths with them and have even taken to hiding the little blighters on cruise ships now. A lot of folk love it when duck is on the mdr menu ( with green beans 😋 ) I honestly think the cruise bosses eventually give cruise punters what they want ,running tracks ,climbing frames etc . Do you think ducks could be the future in cruising ?🤔

We have been to Iceland and feel sorry for the people whose homes are in the path of the lava. It must be awful to not know whether you will have a home to come back to. Am I imagining it, or has volcanic activity worldwide increased over the last 3 or 4 years? Avril

They just don't know how lucky they are having parents and grandparents who buy them cars (usually old ones). We both had to save to buy our first cars, mine was a 1960 Mini and DH had a 1965 Triumph Herald that he was forever tinkering with, the registration number began with OKY and my dad always greeted him with "OK why is it off the road this time ?"

Rare SarahHben Posted May 30 #59040 Share Posted May 30 (edited) Hi everyone. Just popped on here briefly before heading down towards Southampton after lunch. Joining Britannia tomorrow 🙌 We have a boarding time of 1:30 but thinking of dropping off cases and car at midday and then grabbing lunch in town. I don’t think I’ll do a ‘live from’ this time, it’s been a busy time and I just need to switch off, but might do a report once back. Unless I feel inspired once onboard! Hayfever is bad this year and I’m nicely croaking even before the cabin air con 🙄 Edited May 30 by SarahHben

Just go up that 'gangplank', step on board and chill. Switch off with a cool Prosecco! Enjoy 6

Yorkshire Phil Posted May 30 #59048 Share Posted May 30 We are on day four of our cruise, the weather has been great with wall to wall sunshine. We sat and chatted with @brian1 Brian and Marilyn last night. The food has been nice, not a big choice, certainly less than our last river cruise. No complaints from us. We are in Vienna today, our first time, beautiful place but too much to see in one day.
