Sorry to hear your daughter has tested positive Kalos.

I hope she is well.

I got a cancellation Dermatologist appointment this morning.

He said I have a basal cell carcinoma on the side of my brow.

I have gone on the list but he said with Covid19 it could be 2-6 months before surgery.☹️

Graham.

Sorry to hear this Graham, hopefully it will be brought forward, 2 to 6 months is long time to be worrying.  I had a biopsy 2 weeks ago and was given 6 to 8 weeks estimate for an vacuum assisted excision last week but I had a phone call on Tuesday telling me that my appointment has been moved to Monday next week.  The only drawback is that it is now at Stafford rather than Stoke and neither of us have a clue where the Stafford hospital is but are confident that the Sat Nav will know lol.

I think I remember you mentioning your op before Wowzz , do you now have follow ups to

check there is no others that crop up ?

and ... This good looking  malarky is it down to surgical skills or fine wine ? :classic_unsure::classic_wink:

Yes, sorry - repeating myself !

Like good red wine, I improve with age.

If it is the main Stafford hospital down A34 through Stone and then when you reach roundabout with Audi garage on right turn left and then drive past MOD Stafford and then when you reach roundabout turn right and hospital is on right. If it is any other hospital or private hospital let me know and will advise route if it helps.

It's been a cool day today first time I looked this morning we had 4.c but went out for a

walk which was rather chilly with the biting wind .We have got up to a nice sunny 11.c

and I'm glad to be back in the warmth of our house again .

The Daughter has rung up to give me an update of our Granddaughter regarding the

covid and she was pleased to say she was testing negative this morning  but then

went on to say that she has herself now tested positive :classic_sad: but not feeling too bad .

Her and the hubby have only had one dose of the vaccine so far ,so lets hope that keeps

it mild for her as well . The Grandson is ok and being going to school as normal , which

to me was madness but the authorities said he must go . After a a good chat with her we

are pleased to hear he will not be going tomorrow . He could carry it into school or bring

the infection home . So their household is now back to square  one of isolation .

I haven't seen any of them close up for almost 2 years now , so I feel Harrys pain with his

upcoming family wedding . This covid is far from done with us all yet so be careful guys

and stay safe :classic_smile::classic_love:

Sorry to hear about your daughter and granddaughter, I hope that neither of them get too ill.  As you say Covid definitely  isn't  done with us yet.

Thanks Josy.

He didn't do a biopsy.

He knew as soon as he looked at it as there was a blood vessel inside.

Best wishes for next Monday for your surgery.

Graham.

Sorry to hear this Kalos, I hope your daughter is not to ill with it and no one else in your family get it , we now all have to be extra careful again now it’s ramping it’s ugly head for winter, I’ve just got back from London last night and took a LFT because I wasn’t feeling to good very exhausted and out of breath but all clear , I would say 1/2 of everyone was wearing mask around and in the underground, not me though kept it on all times unless liquid was passing my lips 😋 but seriously I hope your daughter & grandchildren are fine and not too ill

Sorry to hear this graham and thank you for sharing a picture of it because I didn’t know what it was but looking at yours and having a idea , my husband has developed a few small lumps on his face and he keeps catching them when he wet shaves and makes them bleed , admittedly they are small and not like your one but I will now keep a eye on them if they get bigger, hope you are not waiting too long before surgery

Some food porn for tonight, to start of with canapés, then duck liver with sauce & brioche, Langoustines in sauce, turbot in a sauce, pigeon with a port sauce, pea & mint sorbet, and heaven on a plate Cointreau soufflé, then chocolates to finish, had the wines to pair with each course and the whole evening was a fantastic experience and the Ritz hotel lovely and grand and all the waiters had different uniforms a little bit military look about them but really down to earth guys and not snooty, which we could have a laugh with .

Haven't been here for a  while but have been  watching and checking out  from a distance.

Just to say .... am sitting here in lovely North Wales listening to the sea roaring in at high tide. Just awesome. Its piggen cold but wonderful to see this wave scratch in and the sea just roaring as it comes in at high tide.  We really can't wait to be sailing  again.....

One good thing is that finding a parking space there has been much easier than at Stoke on the few occasions we have been there.

Hopefully it will warm up tomorrow to greet our likely arrival. Forecast doesn’t look too bad.

Welcome back to the site, you have been missed.

For a Basel cell carcinoma? Really. Yours must have been pretty deep or cosmetically an issue then.

I sat in on a one.  Clearly it must have been very much less complex.

The bloke that done my OH face must have worked at Dewhurst back in the day.Good job her hair covers it next to her ear.It was only a small mark but they went in deep.

The local CCG website says they are doing boosters, but I don’t know if it’s actually happening

My parents got theirs in the Chatham site which surprised me as their surgery was a bit slow for their original jabs.

Well it’s all gone a bit bad here I’m afraid.

Joshua’s mum tested negative- hooray! Then …

About 9-15am Wednesday I phoned my mum for usual daily call and she said my Dad had just been taken to hospital in an ambulance with chest pains!! They’d waited 45 minutes for an ambulance and she hadn’t told me. She kept telling me she was alright but we both had a little cry. They told her they’d probably bring him back in a few hours. Well he’s still at the hospital, he’d had a ‘small’ heart attack.

Luckily Wednesday is my day off and as it was the day before Joshua’s birthday his mum was off to make cake etc so I didn’t have him. I decided to get the bus over to my mum. Good thing I did as a cardiologist called their landline a couple of times and my mum’s speech isn’t great so I was able to do that. When John got home from work he came over and mum made us dinner as she’d got it all ready for Dad bless her!

She’s been staying with us since, there’s no way she can be on her own.

My poor Dad didn’t get into a ward til nearly 10pm!!! Luckily he has his mobile phone with him so he’s been phoning us and we’ve been phoning him. Took mum to see him yesterday but only one visitor allowed. So I had to walk her to the ward and then lurk outside. She had her walker and a carry bag with dads things in. When someone opened the door I shoved the bag at him and said ‘can you help her’ and he did , turned out he was a doctor!

The reason I’m so early is mum came into our room at 430am worrying where she’d put something…! This is not going to be easy.
