Thank you all for your messages of support and the hugs and kisses.

I'm still playing the waiting game, but this time for a letter from the oncologist to discuss treatment.

Thoughts and prayers with you purplesea - hugs from Stoke on Trent x

Shipping forecast has Storm Force 11 in FitzRoy and Biscay

I think Sky might have had the right idea!

It will be interesting to see if Iona docks on time on Saturday.

As I posted elsewhere, I wonder if the decision to get Sky into Southampton a day early was partially influenced by the number of North Americans on board, who were flying home on Saturday. A late arrival into port would have caused havoc to flight arrangements.

Safe travels and have a wonderful cruise.

The winds are due to ease by the afternoon.

Have a great cruise @Josy1953 and @wowzz  and don't forget to batten down

the wine bottles 😉

I remember once in Southampton docks seeing an old lady standing on a street

corner during a nasty windstorm.
She was bracing herself by holding tight to a lamp post with one hand, and she was

holding her hat firmly  against her head with her other hand. Unfortunately, a strong

gust of wind blew her dress upward, and it continued to flap in the wind, exposing her

privates for everyone to see.
I asked ,"Are you OK ? As everybody is taking a look at what you've got. Don't you

think that pulling your dress down is more important than worrying about your hat?"

She told me  "What these people are looking at is over 85 years old, ...........

but the hat is BRAND NEW 😉

Take care ,happy sailing 🙂

27c in our part of the Med at mo,hope it continues for Sky Princess. Our new American neighbour who we haven't met yet arrived last night. He's from New Joisey and talks like one of the Soprano,s.We can understand him but what is it with Yanks and Cockneys, they either think we're from Aus or speaking Swahili.

Glad I'm not a veggie over here.Had to laugh at the deli counter today. The bloke sliced our cheese up after removing a big ham from the slicer.I've seen similar scenarios on cruise ship buffets where meat and veggie dishes are next to each other and the serving spoons drop in both and are ignored.

Wowzz your on one of our favourite ships and we have the premium plus drinks package paid before they put the prices up to 15$ a drink and like you we enjoy a good red full bodied so any hints on what you liked from their list is greatly appreciated, hope you have a fantastic cruise.

So I’ve just said good bye to dad between fly home later tonight, he’s gone to bed now for a sleep and I don’t think he’ll be awake when we leave , he was very emotional , we are due to come out end of June to look after him for a week 🤞 he doesn’t seem to think he’ll be here but he’s a cat with 9 lives with what he’s gone through over the years I’ve told him he will see 89 years old all be it a lot slower mobility wise but I will see him , ( we can only hope )  so flight at 7.25 tonight with 4 minutes delay I can live with that 😁 home about 2.30 in morning.

I think he's smuggled a suitcase of Gary's aboard.

Premium or Plus ?

We just go for the Plus, and pay extra if we fancy something posh! I'll let you know what we find.

As an aside, we arrived at Southampton just after 15:00. Pleasant enough drive, despite the intermittent rain. The worst part was the last 1O miles on the M27 coming into the city

We had fun driving down in the rain that reduced visibility, at least we avoided the accidents that we passed on the A34 🤫

Definitely not the best way to spend a birthday, but happy in the the hotel and looking forward to boarding.

We are the naughty people who have the Premium, DH likes the better whiskies and I try cocktails that I haven't tried before.

We arrived at our Southampton hotel around 2:30 and would agree the last few miles on the M27 were the worst, not helped by the rain.

A damp day, with the odd sunny spell here today, rain is welcome for my new lawn which is growing well, no longer looking like just laid turf.

Volunteers team meeting this morning as new season starts at Easter, so a review of upcoming events for the months through to October and welcoming of 5 new volunteers. Looks like we have a few busy months ahead.
