Ocean Boy Posted March 7, 2022 #50751 Share Posted March 7, 2022 Screen burn is not my problem. Replacing batteries in the remote is my issue.😇

For most people, that's not an issue. We've always been Samsung fans and like their QLED models. I've done a lot of research between OLED and QLED. OLED generally has better picture quality (better black levels, better contrast, but not as good brightness) but the difference in quality vs. higher end QLEDs is probably not noticeable unless you review TVs for a living. It's like comparing an excellent TV vs. an outstanding TV. Once any TV is in your house, and not sitting next to dozens of other TVs in a store for comparison, it will likely look good. At the large sizes (our last purchase was a 75 inch), OLED was still several hundred dollars more expensive. We choose Samsung because we like their smart system and are now very familiar with it. It has all of the apps that we want, which admittedly is too many. I haven't looked at LG lately, but I imagine that their smart system is also very good. That's probably true for some of the other brands as being a "smart TV" seems now to be a minimum requirement. In reality, unless you're real audio-video aficionado, you might be best off purchasing a less expensive mid-range model in a slightly larger size. I've rarely heard someone say that they're not satisfied with the 4K TV's picture quality. I HAVE heard people say that they wish they had a bigger TV. 😁 Always wanting a bigger TV is an issue in our house, and it’s not me. We have ours mounted on the wall and I keep saying if we go any bigger, it’ll be like sitting in the front row of the movie theater with your neck craned looking up. 2

We were planning to go to Australia for your spring/Summer in October but have recently found our we're going to be grandparents again early Sept 😊. So we don't really want to go away now in our Autumn. Thinking as an alternative to go end of march but looking at the weather we're having second thoughts . It's been a long cold winter and would really like some sunshine. Do you think the weather in Sydney or Melbourne might improve early April or just get worse 🤔 Impossible question I know ..... Congratulations on the news of a new gran-baby😍 1

When we moved into our new house, we temporarily had a 55 inch TV mounted above our fireplace. We brought it with us from Ohio with the intention of eventually putting it in our bedroom and putting a newer, bigger TV over the fireplace. I friend of mine walked into the house shortly after we moved in (55 inch in place) and the first he said about the entire house was, "you need a bigger TV". When he came back a few months later and we had the 75 inch TV mounted, the first thing he did was point at the new TV and say, "that's better". I'm sure the fact that he's a man is completely irrelevant. 😉 2

Second time in 29 years our street is flooded. All of our homes in this development frontage is approximately 250 feet. The flood ends at our house and goes up 5 houses. So 5 x 250…………..1,250 feet long, and last time was 1- 1/2 feet deep. We built high enough so hoping the house stays dry once again. Guess I’ll wait a little bit before I venture out. Yikes, I hope we didn’t get that. My daughter didn’t mention any heavy rain, but I heard it was warm up there on the weekend.
Sunshine3601 Posted March 7, 2022 #50756 Share Posted March 7, 2022 Today should be a high of 76f here in PA. Yesterday was 70f. I have some windows open, nice fresh air! Rare bobmacliberty Posted March 7, 2022 #50757 Share Posted March 7, 2022 Warning...lots of car pictures incoming. If you're more of a video person than a picture person, I found a guy on YouTube (who knows a lot more about cars than I do) who posted several videos over the last few days here. No idea who this guy is but he shows a lot of cars and provides some personal commentary. And Micheline loved this 1938 Jaguar SS100 Roadster. She had visions of driving this on one of the Corniches of Monaco with her hair blowing in the wind behind her, ala Grace Kelly in To Catch a Thief. I guess that makes me Cary Grant? Rare bobmacliberty Posted March 7, 2022 #50764 Share Posted March 7, 2022 Ferraris. All red in a long line from earliest to latest. The 1962 250 GTO is considered the most valuable Ferrari. This specific car (below) sold for $48M in 2018! And it's sitting on a golf course with thousands of people walking around it. I have to hand it to the owner. Not sure I'd be willing to do that after paying $48M.

I probably take it too far in the other direction and gave up watching news all together. Things sometimes happen locally or in the world that I don't know about. I don’t think I would either and I don’t think I would spend that much for a car. Thinking about it, where would you drive it. If I stopped anywhere I would be concerned letting it sit in any parking spot.
