The third “and then…..” is not specifically one from yesterday, but just one more thing my daughter’s family has been dealing with.

I know there are many pet lovers on here.  Their “Lucy” has been with them for 16 years, and now shows signs she is reaching the end of her life.

Lucy

I am afraid the grandkids will soon be dealing with the loss of the only pet they have ever known.   It is hard to tell how they have been processing all the changes they see taking place right now.

So sorry for Lucy and your family having to deal with so much.

It’s a beautiful evening in Sydney. Many Sydneysiders like ourselves have caught the ferry across the harbour to view the Opera House Sails this evening and more still are at the Overseas Passenger Terminal (no cruise ship in tonight) taking photos & videos.2A42305D-FDE8-4909-A843-B5A3266E67D5.thumb.jpeg.98471a0c561d85a0ec8cbcc80ef183c5.jpeg

We are currently sitting outside sipping champagne and people watching with the Opera House in view.

That's beautiful.

Jade's expression has changed from insecure to totally relaxed and content.  She's obviously a very happy kitty now.

My heart breaks for you. It will be so hard for the kids to lose the only pet they have never known. I hope life gets better for you I know you must be hurting. I feel for you and you are in my thoughts.

After eating I was saying bye to Dave and he asked if we can take a selfie and share it with Greg.  He said, He will love it.

He was still performing when he called me up for the selfie.  As I was walking away he started talking to the crowd.... That is John.  He is a cruise friend with a very good find of mind Greg.  He said some more things about you and if I heard right he played the next song for you.

I love this!!!!!!!! He loves his Chiefs. He texted me later that he met you and that song I am pretty sure was a song he and I wrote together for my wedding that he performed.

OMG I love this photo so much. She is just so beautiful. You are blessed to have her. Is she a specific breed? I've never seen a cat like that before.

I had a very busy week at work catching up from our cruise and working on everything I need to do with our fiscal year end of 8.31 for the business.

I was disappointed to hear that one of our high end clients, a famous supermodel originally from Brazil came into the office while I had off.  She even brought homemade (yes she made yourself) Brazilian cookies.   I heard were delicious.

This is my first weekend in a while that we have nothing planned other than "the usual"😀

The end of the headstock on his guitar is blocked so I can't be sure. At first I thought it was the shape for a Takamine. However, that company usually has their name printed on the headstock and I don't see it. I have a Takamine 12 string.

Sometimes it's nice to have a "nothing planned " weekend after vacation.   Did your garden hold up while you were gone?

September 11,2001 ,a day that nobody on the planet should ever forget.

My friend Barry ,a retired NYC Police Officer left his Staten Island home as he did every day to go to his job as Head of Security for a company in Two World Trade Center. He never came home. His wife ,family and friends knew that he would never leave until he could get everyone else out of the building. At least 20 people credit him with saving their lives.

He is and will always be my hero.

He indirectly saved my life as well.He was very friendly with some of the HR people. They were looking to hire a person that Barry believed was something I would be interested in and arranged for me to interview on September 11,2001 at 9:30 AM.The plan was for me to arrive an hour earlier, meet Barry for breakfast in the basement of the building and then go for the interview. However,a few days before I received a call from an HR person telling me that they had to reschedule the appointment.I contacted Barry and suggested that we still meet that morning so I could learn more about the company.Barry said I should just come on the rescheduled date.

From 2001 until I was no longer physically able Toby and I went to 9/11 memorials all over the US to speak about Barry. Now I only do it on line.

Very true Dani.  When my mom was killed eight years ago I needed some therapy. Sometimes  it helps to talk to someone not directly involved in the situation.

Absolutely

As promised a picture of the cactus blooming.  Not exactly a pleasant fragrance either and it draws flies.  LOL

She's purrrrfectly beautiful.  Her fur reminds me of a comfy, soft chenille snuggle blanket.

When my parents retired, they moved to Skidaway Island in Savannah.  They had a boat for a few years, until they realized they are better off having friends with a boat than having a boat themselves. 😁.  When they had the boat, we'd take a boat trip up to Harbour Town, snaking our way through various rivers and creeks to avoid the open ocean.  We'd spend a few hours wandering around and have lunch at one of the restaurants.  Great memories.

My dad had boats ever since I remember.  He would always warn us that boats can be money pits.... but he would always have one. 😆

When we took off to go see dolphins he took us out past the Cross Island Pkwy.   I am guessing that is the only bridge to HH?  We started out near a restaurant called Up the Creek Pub and Grill.  I think it was from the pier where it says Sky Pirate Parasail.

Yes, my neighbor took good care of watering garden and flowers while we were away.   My cucumber plants are done producing and eggplant is nearing the end too but still getting good amount of peppers and tomatoes.

We are seeing a lot of military planes and helicopters flying overhead our neighborhood today.  I'm sure it's for the 9/11 memorials tomorrow.

My family is blessed that my Brother missed his flight out of Boston that morning as he forgot a work portfolio in his hotel room and had taxi drive back for it.
