I just watched the movie Old in royal theater.   Quite different.   One thing for sure is am not booking that excursion to private beach.😁

That looked really interesting in the trailers. U-verse has it for $3 to rent, so I am tempted....:classic_biggrin: "The Bubble" is going to be on Netflix beginning Friday. It looks really funny. And we enjoyed "The Adam Project" . But we love almost everything that Ryan Reynolds is in. :classic_biggrin:

We are onboard and ready for sail away. Other family members in Port were the Radience, the Vision and the Constellation. Internet is so far so good but we are still in FL. Moving now. My first drink was a 🥭  thingy with very tiny bit of liquor. It was good. We are sitting at the aft Sunset/ lawn area and are sailing away.

Bon Voyage    😍  I hope you have a smooth sailing with perfect weather

Isn't that the literal definition of a library? The only thing that is missing  is a very serious little old bespectacled lady librarian  behind a desk ready to give a stern "shhhh!!" to loudmouths 😄

Good thing the hubby was a little more reasonable.  Maybe the wife was grumpy because the cabin didn't come with a can opener?  😉

Good One!     Eric just spit his drink out 😂laughing when I read him your comment.

It would be so funny if that was her, I never personally met the can opener lady but she did have 2 boys too.    You know the saying, it's a small world....

For anyone who has checked in with the app lately on an iPhone, is there a way to upload photos and vax cards stored on the phone, instead of taking new pictures of them each time?  They use to have that ability, but I don’t recall seeing it the last few check in’s we did.   Or is that feature only available if checking in through the website on a computer?

Eric and I both have androids and were able to upload our vax cards from cell phones onto the app.   You should be able to upload both photos and cards on the app.     We wait and have our photo taken at the terminal.

We had a wonderful dinner in Chops and as usual ate way too much.    Very windy evening.   I was going to walk around the outside on the upper deck but is now closed due to winds and so is deck 5.      So now we are in cabin and I am wearing my "lounge wear" aka pj's undecided what to do.    If Eric takes any longer figuring it out I will be asleep.😅

Jim and I love Schooners;  they always seem to have a great piano player/singer there.

Is it a different player then on last weeks cruise with Chris and Donna?

Yes, so do we.   Yes, same player/singer was onboard last week but we didn't listen as we were busy pretending we were young again and playing things like air hockey, pickleball, pool, bumper cars, watching movies, etc etc.

Last week I think we had a lot more spring breakers than this week.

We also had a person with a mustache and beard who wore some very short dresses/mini skirts and 5 inch heels every day.    I believe "pronoun ?" was 7 foot tall.

I did something different today. I had to go to the mall and have my ears-re-pierced.

Early in the pandemic, 2 years ago, I quit wearing earrings because every time I took my mask off, one of them would flip out of my ear and go flying off somewhere.

We had to attend a memorial service on Saturday for one of Bill's former co-workers, and I realized one of the holes had closed up, and I couldn't wear any earrings.  I have had pierced ears since I was in junior high.

While I was there, I had them re-pierce the second holes that I had done in my 20's. It is a lot more expensive to have your ears pierced nowadays. :classic_biggrin: But I kind of feel like a teenager again with my little stud earrings and bottle of disinfectant solution. They might be healed up enough for our cruise at the end of April. :classic_biggrin:

I just did that. There were two options, "Take new photo" and "Access photo library". I took new photos because I hadn't retaken the photos with the boosters.

:classic_biggrin: And then I had to do it again because for some reason, I entered February instead of April for our second doses. :classic_biggrin: I'm glad they give you multiple attempts.

We are the same way and maybe get about 5 hours per night.    But after that big meal at Chops and a late dinner as our reservation for 7:30 and we finished around 9 pm (we usually eat around 5:30/6 pm) we are both exhausted.    I think the sea day caught up with us and going to call it an early night and relax in the cabin.

Tomorrow should be a nice warm sunny day and we dock at Port Canaveral, no plans other than trying to get a ride on North Star.     We goofed last week and missed out on getting reservations before all booked up.   I'm told get on at the app at exactly 8 am when it opens and reserve immediately.

So, I don’t think the Will Smith thing was staged.  I think Chris Rock handled it like a pro.  I think he was probably ignorant that Will’s wife had a medical condition, so if you are going to make fun of the wife of a dude who is going to win best actor it is very non-professional to make a joke about how the wife looks.  Physical humor used to be allowed…. Love me some Three stooges, but in todays woke world, physical humor is a no go zone.

The only movie I have watched of the current Oscar set was Dune, on the flight to Key West and finished it on the flight home a month ago.  Having read the book a long long time ago, and loved it, and then reading the other books and tolerating them, I was wanting to watch the movie.  This one was way better than the horrible David Lynch version.  And while the movie makes no sense and they cut a lot out to make the movie it was a really good opening act for the next movie.  Film magic stuff was, indeed, magic, and I hope they keep the level of stuff in the next one/s.

Not going to NOLA.  Going to previously booked Bill Engvall farewell comedy show, and then home to watch recorded Duke Carolina game.  Was just too much not going to be able to eat a nice dinner.  We will go back to NOLA when I can make a reservation for Etoufee at Commander’s palace, did I mention K-Pauls died with Paul Prudhomme when covid arrived. Very sad.

If you go to Commander’s Palace then you have to try the bread pudding with whiskey sauce.  It has been decades since we were there last . We stayed at Harrah*s which was very nice .  We also ate at Mother’s, Central Market , Café du Monde that I can remember.  We listened to jazz at Preservation Hall . Fairly recently, we were supposed to cruise from NOLA to the Bahamas but Covid reared its ugly spiked crowns.  We had a reservation at the Westin near Canal St.

i don’t know if the Will Smith thing was staged but it certainly got the show plenty of publicity.  However , the yelling of obscenities makes it unlikely.  Why risk an assault charge ?

Really bad weather here . It’s raining in Southern California.

Same on both counts.  Every time I've taken a photo, even with nothing in the background and showing exactly what they need of my face, they have always retaken the photo at the pier.  So I just don't bother with that step anymore at check-in.

I get the same thing with Android.

Another fan of the schooner bar definitely been going there for decades on various ships , on our allure cruise we would move from there to pub with guitar player singer then to jazz club then repeat.

I'm also a Schooner Bar fan though I prefer the location and atmosphere on the V/F class ships over the O class ships.

Where should we head to for lunch when we get on the Allure this weekend?  It's our first time on the Oasis Class.  Looking forward to exploring!!

It depends what you want to eat and what time you board. I always like the Windjammer for a first meal. If you want something quick the Wipeout Cafe, deck 15, works for me or the Park Cafe in Central Park. Sorrento's  and the Cafe Promenade will also be open on the Royal Promenade. The Dog House on Boardwalk should also be open but I don't really like the food there.

Have a great time exploring. The first time on O class is amazing. Do not miss the Aqua Show or Mamma Mia. They are awesome!

I hate it when they close down outside decks.🤨

We are also fans of the Park Cafe for day 1 lunch.  As any true Buffalonian would tell you, the beef sandwich there is not a true Buffalo style beef on weck sandwich.  The meat is too thick and not tender enough.  But I still eat it and it tastes good.  Micheline likes to start the cruise with one of their salads.  Makes her feel like she is going to eat healthy for the week.  🤣🤣🤣
