So basically they already failed when it comes to COVID-19

The CDC didn't layoff the pandemic response team or any of the other missteps.

Stonewalled or downright ignored court orders, though she certainly wasn't alone, in a large suit involving pollution.  Suit is still on going.

Duffy is over Carnival Cruise Lines, not Princess.

Nothing.....some internet posters seem to be infatuated with this and are doing all they can to spread opinions not based on fact.

Here's a breakdown on the layoffs.

If I was able to, I'd tell them sorry they were let go and thank them for all their help behind the scenes adding to a great cruise experience, and I hope they all are able to return when things improve 😞

Carnival Corporation and Carnival Cruise Line has detailed over 500 layoffs in its Miramar, Florida, offices in a state filing. 

 

Carnival said that the layoffs and furloughs would commence on June 1. Layoffs include over 420 jobs in Miramar, along with four furloughs.

 

In addition are layoffs for 82 individuals and 28 furloughs for workers that Carnival said work from home throughout Florida and in other states, but take direction from and operate within business units located in Miramar.

 

Carnival added that it anticipated the furloughs to be temporary and layoffs to be permanent, citing the COVID-19 pandemic.

 

Among the positions on the cut list:

  • 134 Personal Vacation Planners
  • 37 Cruise Vacation Specialists
  • 42 Teleagents, Cruise Vacation Specialist
  • 60 Agents, Groups
  • 28 Agents, Online Support
  • 24 Agents, Resolutions
  • 57 Agents, Service
  • Director, Strategic Projects
  • Director, Trade Sales

LOL - that will be a hoot.  They had better get very good training, as I am sure they don't know how to handle what the pvp's do.  Before you could call 5 different people at CCL and get 5 different answers.  Now it may be 10!!  Expect to know more than they do - educate yourself before you call!!

No training needed. Just hangout here on CC for a month and they will become cruise vacation experts in no time.
