It’s just a shame that you only have around 2 days a year up there when it’s warm enough to sit on a beach 😉 1

The North Sea coast sea breeze is nice when it is too hot. The weather is warm during spring and summer without being stifling hot like it is in London and the south coast. On our last Oceana cruise we watched the flag being painted. Every time we docked they painted a little more. When we arrived in Southampton it was complete. The times have changed since the pits and shipyards closed. Nissan and call centres up here now. I only remember the 70s and 80s. I was a rep for EMI records late 70s early 80s. All my girl friends were classy and Pauline was the classiest by far when we met in 1978. Edited June 25, 2020 by grapau27

It seems they have said cruise passengers will be kept on a very short leash and not be allowed to roam off where they want, hence presumably trips only. I have been thinking that for a while as tour groups could be kept to certain areas away from other people and then the areas cleaned afterwards. Not something that appeals to us, but It is the only way I can see cruises going ahead to begin with. Only time will tell.
