I spoke to NCL today about dining , and they told me that their isn’t a main dining. It’s literally this food hall and then 2 speciality restaurants. I’m not sure I like this idea!

I sincerely doubt that the NCL rep you spoke to had the correct information.  They may have had the most current information, but probably not the correct info.

Highly doubtful.

Sounds like a new rep who thinks what's been announced so far is all there is. 😂

and they better not do anything less that the good Thermal spa that was on the Bliss and Escape.

I have no inside information but my impression is that the spa is a very good money maker for NCL, so I would be surprised if it is anything less than on the BA+ ships.  Actually if @FreestyleNovice has good intel (and I think they usually do) on the prices then it had better not be any less impressive.

That isn't just doubtful. It is total nonsense.

Also just impossible.  3300 passengers on a ship,  no way they can feed that many people in the food hall.  Smaller ships such as  Jade, Sun and Star have a rather large buffet (Garden Cafe) and 2 main dining rooms.  Larger ships have 3.   Even food hall + specialty restaurants cannot accomodate 3300 people in about 3 hours.  Also, and probably more important, it is a standard within all major cruiselines that the cruise fare includes 3 meals a day. Just imagine the number of cancellations NCL would get if they would announce, few months prior to the cruise, that the fare doesn't include meals.  That won't happen.  There will be a buffet (which is for the cruiseline a rather cheap and efficient way to feed so many people) and at least 2 large main dining rooms

Good heavens, no buffet, honestly, that is just unbelievable.  For those of us who've been members here and been travelling with NCL, it just seem completely preposterous that a buffet would be eliminated from the dining options on any NCL cruise ship.

I rarely dine in the buffet but would so doubt their omission on any ship, not even just NCL.

Because the Bliss doesn't have a ropes course that I can recall, and I sailed on that ship twice...

Breakaway, Getaway and Escape are the only NCL ships with a ropes course.  It was replaced on Joy, Bliss and Encore with the speedway.

There is a lot of deck space that hasn't been identified yet.  I'm pretty sure there will be a buffet along with more restaurants.

When the Escape launched there were NUMEROUS areas still blank on the deck plan within the final 60-30 days prior to sailing.  The cruise lines have this belief that stringing out announcements of the details on newbuilds adds excitement - they usually start with the big flashy items they want to push as being "new and unique" and then slowly trickle out the more mundane stuff.  Over 75% of the public spaces are still to be announced but we can all be assured there will be additional specialty dining, main dining room(s), buffet, additional entertainment venues and bars, some sort of atrium and guest relations, a spa, gym, thermal suite, shopping and a casino ...... right now those are NOT the items they want us to focus on and create buzz with for the new ships.

RCCL's new Wonder of the Seas begins sailing this week and only just now have revealed some final details of the ship.  Celebrity Beyond launches in May and still has areas marked as "to come".  carnival did the same with the launch of the Mardi Gras.

Everyone just needs to TAKE A BIG DEEP BREATH AND FREAKIN RELAX!!!!!!!!

With as iconic as buffets are on cruise ships I find it REAL hard to believe NCL would be the first to try releasing a ship without one.

When the Epic launched they also said no buffet. Instead it had the "action stations restaurant" that looked a lot like a buffet.

I just cruised on the Bliss (LA to Miami  Jan 21 to Feb 4) and I confirm that there are no ropes on the Bliss.  I went all the way to the top (Deck 20) and didn't see any rope wall. The race track takes lots of space

Just looking at the Prima deck plans. There are a lot of blank spaces left to fill. Didn't see Cagneys listed yet and hope they don't eliminate it in their new design efforts. Cagneys is my goto specialty restaurant.

Also noted there appeared to be about 100 Haven cabins yet the Haven restaurant didn't look like it could accommodate everyone comfortably.

Buehler...buehler...!

What the heck is going on with NO information on this ship (PRIMA)?

I have cruised a few NCL new cruise ships on their inaugural TA but the information on the ship was put out there well in advance. This is not happening with the Prima!

Really want to see the deck plans!!!

So, why can't we expect the information?

NCL, any help is appreciated but wondering why we have not received the information yet!

What is the real story....thanks?

Your loyal customs thank you for your consideration.

I agree that it is rather unusual.  It opens the way to all kind of speculations.

Are there issues with the supply of equipment to furnish the ship?  Delays in the delivery or construction?  Who knows.

But we have to admit one point:  Although people here on this forum are eager to get responses, the facts are that it doesn't prevent people to book cruises on the Prima.

Only 2 cabins available in the Haven

Only 1 cabin available in the Suite category  (it was not there recently so mostlikely a cancellation)

No Club balcony cabins available

In the Balcony category, under 40 cabins available.

NCL doesn't feel any urge to provide additional information because our sailing is almost sold out

I also checked 3 other cruises prior and after our cruise and the situation is similar.

For the restaurants, I am expecting more information before the end of march, as Haven and suite passengers will be allowed to make restaurant reservations sometimes in April for the inaugural cruise.  Difficult to book a dinner at Cagneys if we don't know if there will be a Cagneys restaurant on board.
