Solo rates in April I bet are cheaper out of florida too ... which port are you seeing 7k? Solo rates seem discounted in april right now. I randomly picked a sailing out of Florida...Symphony I think. JS solo was around $3,500 so 2 sailings would be 7K. I didn't even check the dates so it might have been summer or holiday. Honestly, I wasn't being real serious. I already have several non-cruise trips planned for 2021 and vacation time is limited. I was just intrigued by the idea of jumping over an entire level. Now that I know it's "only" 4 points per night, I'll need to tack on a 3rd trip. The DW would never let me take that many solo trips. 😆

They have probably calculated that offering extra points is whole lot cheaper than lowering prices! Agreed. 1 hour ago, dswallow said: What I wish they'd offer is some number of points on the sailings you've fully paid for and then they cancel. At least I'd feel I was making some progress here. 🙂 I tend to agree with you. Many followed through with final payments, giving RC an interest free loan. I was not one of them but I feel for those that have. A simple gift for those that didn’t L&S and stayed the course. I know it isn’t normal protocol but it could’ve been a nice gesture for those that made final payment for a sailing that never departed.

I have an X cruise booked for July 2021...Not sure there's anything I want to purchase from X for this cruise. I've already used my OBC to book the excursions (which I usually don't) I wanted.....we already have their 4 perks offered with our suite...so maybe just make a $500 dollar payment ? When does the offer end? You need to check your Amex account online, under Amex Offers and Benefits, to see if you have the offer. There are usually 100 different offers. If the offer is available to you, click on “add to card”. Then you will have until 12/31/20 to spend $500 on a Celebrity reservation (only reservations, not excursions or extras), either online or by phone. A $500 payment will work. You will get an immediate email stating you have used the offer, then in a few days you will see a $125 statement credit. I have the offer on my blue everyday card. NCL has a similar offer right now, Royal has one occasionally (though not recently), and Carnival has several a year.

molly361 Posted October 19, 2020 #235 Share Posted October 19, 2020 (edited) Hope the Twitter Royal rep is more accurate than the FB one. FB person just told 2 people that this offer is NOT combinable with their balcony discount. Royal Caribbean International Hey, Karen. Crown and Anchor discounts aren't combinable with this promotion. I apologize for any disappointment with this. -Mer Edited October 19, 2020 by molly361

Rare Sea Dog Posted October 19, 2020 #250 Share Posted October 19, 2020 We did a L&S back in May that moved our cruise that was supposed to be last week to November of 2021. I contacted my TA about it and she spoke to Royal. They said the only way to get the double points is to reprice my cruise and rebook. The new price is $657 more. No way I'm going to do that just to get the extra points. Is this the understanding everyone else has of this promotion?
