Will RCL/Cruise Lines get to choose the vaccine they require to allow you to sail?

I totally agree.

As I currently have covid19 and been in bed for 12 days I can say definitely everyone should grab the vaccine for themselves,

and encourage your family, and friends to get it  as soon as it is available.

It is very unpleasant.

Graham.

Hang in there and get well.

This virus affects everyone differently and thousands have died in hospital and some have had little or no symptoms.

Until you catch it you don't know how it will affect you so why take a risk?

Sorry you have caught this awful covid Graham. Hope you are feeling better and on the road to recovery.

Sue

Glad to see you feeling well enough to post again.  Stay safe and continue to get better.

I fully intend to get vaccinated but a major factor in that decision is travelling again. There are people who won't get vaccinated and I suspect those people can forget about going to a number of places for a long time and depending upon the place maybe even for the rest of their lives.

A private company absolutely has the right to restrict access to their facilities based on criteria they set.

That stance could be very problematic as not all vaccines may be approved by CDC. I suspect the Russian vaccine for instance may not be. But countries from which cruise lines source a number of employees may be using vaccines not necessarily approved by CDC?

I think for the near future it is inevitable that cruiselines will require vaccine for boarding because their existence depends on covid19 free cruises.

I wish you as others have a speedy and full recovery and agree that all cruise lines will require you to be vaccinated before boarding and rightly so.

I’ll drop you in a couple of bottles of Newcastle Brown when passing if everything else fails.🤓

I have already about 4 months back or so had this was very similar to flu/cold for me but Covid test came back positive as person at work had been diagnosed. And a friend this person died 23 days after his diagnosis. He was hit by a car and his family are under the impression he is included in the death count. The true infection figure is probably far higher and the death toll probably lower as having it and dying does not mean you died as a result of it.

In reality, deaths are very likely under counted, because the "non-covid" related deaths spike every time the covid related deaths spike.

In the US we've had statistically excessive deaths every week since the last week of March. Last summer we were under the excess death line by about 3,000 people a week. I don't think that many more people are being hit by cars or choking on food.

The only meds I have are my regular meds I got after my heart attack December 2011.

Our NHS said they could send oxygen to our home if my breathing became really bad but reality is they would take me to hospital where visitors are not allowed.

All the specialised meds and treatments are only available at our NHS hospitals for extreme cases.

Correction heart attack December 2019.

My Bil has been in the hospital for a couple of weeks now.  Hes 62 with no underlying health issues.  Actually in great health, very physical person.  He has been in and out of out with oxygen levels just below 80.  He hasn't been able to talk on phone.  Due to him having covid pneumonia they kept telling us they may have to intubate but just yesterday we got word his oxygen levels are starting to improve.  Was around 82 yesterday.

I hope his oxygen levels continue to rise and he can make an excellent recovery.

Thank you Missusdubbya your best wishes message is greatly appreciated.

I hope you two are keeping well.

Pauline had her daily chat with her cousin in Adelaide and she said they have 17 cases in South Australia and going to start a 6 day lockdown there at midnight.

Take care.

Graham.
