33Minnie33 Posted December 11, 2020 #1 Share Posted December 11, 2020 Has anyone heard anything about any Transatlantic Cruises for Fall of 2021. I only see one at the end of November. Are they not planning on having any others this year?
Tim,n,Sue Posted December 11, 2020 #2 Share Posted December 11, 2020 We are on the Odyssey in late Oct 2021. Starts in Rome and ends in Ft Lauderdale with stops in Cartagena, Lisbon and Madeira. Right now RCI has stopped taking reservations for the TAs and people who have existing reservations cannot make changes such as room changes. Any that arrive back in the US before Nov. 1 have been removed for sale (not yet cancelled) due to CDC restrictions on cruises over 7 days. Not really sure why, as this cruise leaves the US and does not return to the US, but it is over 7 nights. Later....Steve

njkruzer Posted December 12, 2020 #7 Share Posted December 12, 2020 Our Anthem 10 nt October 2021 is not showing. It arrives in Cape Liberty October 30th so it can't be sold per cdc rules. Not cancelled though.

Or would it be more sensible to just swap Harmony for Allure for the European summer season, as Allure is already in Europe Edited December 12, 2020 by sgmn

I believe it’s the departure date that determines whether a Transatlantic cruise with a US port can be sold. Our Odyssey TA departs Oct. 28 and arrives in the US on Nov. 11. LXA350 Posted December 12, 2020 #14 Share Posted December 12, 2020 My guess is that the earliest we will see Transatlantic / Transpacific cruises will be in Spring 2022. If earlier only under the condition that all crew and passengers must be vacinated.

We have not sailed on this class of ship, but had decided to try it when our 2020 b2b had to be cancelled. Should be great if it's not too crowded. We're hoping vaccination is required and sailings resume.

The 270 entertainment space works for so many different things. Lots to do.

Giantfan13 Posted January 8, 2021 #19 Share Posted January 8, 2021 We are also booked on the Odyssey for Oct. A lift and shift from last year. Really hope this cruise goes as we have also booked a separate cruise before this one. It isn't listed anymore so we'll just have to wait it out. Rare ReneeFLL Posted January 12, 2021 #20 Share Posted January 12, 2021 Why are there more TA cruises that either leave from or go to the Mediterranean and not Northern Europe?

Longer season. TA from/to northern Europe have a shorter season. Sailings that take the northern route often go to Iceland and going that route i don't think.sail much later than late August or early September.
