Royal Shakeup - Navigator & Symphony to Spain, Mariner to Miami

Recommended Posts

So symphony cruises in July and August of 2021 are out?!

When will they notify guests on those cruises that they are canceled?

Doubt the savings from picking up crew would make up the cost of the extra month of sailing.

There’s debate if navigator can go through the Panama Canal.

If it can’t?

What would be quicker?

I have said all along, they will be cancelling all the cruises, when cruising is set to start. Then you can re book with the cruise capacity limits. (And of course new prices) This way they will not have to pick and choose which people get to keep their reservation. Moving the ship to a different port, (Mariner) makes it easier.

When I said this was what they were going to do,  other posters said that would never happen.

FWIW, nothing is showing that that is going to happen.

So far all that’s pointing to this is this single thread.

Getting to the point now where just about half the year is up, maybe they are looking at all new  make shift new intineraires sailing until  the 1st on Next year 2022, then in January of 2022 resume all current schedules with their ships.

Was that suppose to be 10-31-21............not even listed anymore because it's over 7 days................so do you still have a booking for that date or would they have to rebook everyone if that sailing goes?

Still listed on my planner

What is the source for the INFO of Navigator being in Spain in August?  I am currently booked on Navigator out of Miami in August.

And I'm on Navigator in late July. Would love to know the source as well.

I'm hoping not I want to L&S again to September 2022. Don't want these conditions on a cruiseship or in Europe for our 1st cruise ever in Europe. Feels like we would not be getting our money's worth.

Worst case you can pay $100 per person to move your sailing to 2022.

Price I got on the Owers Suite would not go to the new cruise, it would be transfered to the existing price the new cruise is selling for. Which now is ALOT more  $$$$$

Bummer.  Do you always sail in suites?  The Med is a port intensive cruise.  You wont be in your cabin much.   A balcony might be sufficient.

No, hardly ever, ever in Suites.......Most times just regular balcony cabins.

It was suppose to be a port intensive cruise, but most likely still  will not be  allowed to go ashore and explore ourselves, don't see that as much fun as it should be for our first time in Europe.

Price is $3800 with $525 OBC

Looking at port bookings, Mariner looks to relocate to Miami to be RCG’s first ship back stateside come August.  She will operate 3/4 night market until repositioning to Port Canaveral in October, at which point Freedom will take over 3/4 night cruises out of Miami.

That's interesting.  I have a Bahamas cruise on Mariner from Canaveral in September.  🙂

We are hoping for the same route as Mariner in 2008. Three legs around the horn for a total of 37 nights. We did the last leg Chile to Los Angels 18 days. It was our longest and most memorable.

I believe the OP's point is they will be redeploying. But no verification at this time

With navigator and voyager,
why don’t they leave voyager in the pacific and navigator in the Atlantic.

Voyager,  a year ago was pretty sad and now after 18 months of neglect it’s going to need some money spent on it.
It’s the only ship off Singapore that hasn’t been in dry dock.

I was just thinking it was the prototype for the new short cruise megaships.
