AF-1 Posted June 13, 2021 #278 Share Posted June 13, 2021 I am on vacation in Hawaii and all the restaurants are using QR codes for menus. So are the bars. Thanks for sharing

Wonder what that is about? They didn't complete the muster drill? Or else crew members end of contract. Maybe.

BirdTravels had said that the Captain had gone on the intercom to say that there were still people who had not gone through their muster drill. Could be that there was a cut off time and some did not make it. Another poster said it could have been a medical emergency also. Hard to really know what it was.

HUNKY Posted June 13, 2021 #282 Share Posted June 13, 2021 Bird IS THE WORD! Can't remember if it was Celebrity or Princess, but muster was done in stateroom on the TV. In fact, you couldn't watch anything else until it was completed. Bon Voyage!
Rare perfect match Posted June 13, 2021 #283 Share Posted June 13, 2021 Bird, I know others have said this already, but I still want to say thank you for all of the time you’ve taken out of your day to share so much information and so many photos with all of us today. You’re absolutely awesome! Hope you have a wonderful cruise!
Rare BirdTravels Posted June 13, 2021 Author #284 Share Posted June 13, 2021 Do you need some high energy dance, song, and music from Argentina and Spain? High Impact is the show for you. It was very surreal sitting in a theater (sea or land) for the first time in a year and a half. And to be spread out so far from everyone else. Recorded announcements reminded unvaccinated passengers needed to be masked-up. And that at the end of the show, you had to be invited to stand and leave to maintain social distancing.

Rare BirdTravels Posted June 13, 2021 Author #288 Share Posted June 13, 2021 Been a long and exciting day! And to have the ever so slight rumble of a cruise ship rocking you to sleep. Good Night Everyone
Trixie21 Posted June 13, 2021 #289 Share Posted June 13, 2021 Thank you for taking the time to post this. There are obviously some differences to the pre pandemic cruise experience , but as others have said , over time this will evolve as they work things out. We just checked in today for our Anthem cruise around the UK in August , so I am avidly following your adventures! Have a wonderful time - it is so good to have someone posting live from an actual sailing.

BonTexasNY Posted June 13, 2021 #291 Share Posted June 13, 2021 I don't cruise as often as many on CC so I was surprised at how excited I was reading this thread. I actually felt the excitement of boarding myself. The anticipation was palpable. Bird you are truly special! Healthy and happy smooth sails to you and all on AOS.
mopedmom1 Posted June 13, 2021 #292 Share Posted June 13, 2021 Looking at the itinerary, I wonder what the reasoning is for two consecutive days on the private island? If I got to choose I would take one now and one at the end of the cruise, but I'm sure there is a good explanation for what is being offered.

patty29 Posted June 13, 2021 #294 Share Posted June 13, 2021 All the talk about the drinks added to your seapass, we are staying in a GS and are Diamond plus. We'll have 5 drinks added to our seapass but do we have to use them in the SL or do we get additional drinks in the SL If you can find out that would be great! Thanks!!

Our understanding is that they will take us out to sea tonight to open the casino and shops. Then back to the island tomorrow morning.

Rare BirdTravels Posted June 13, 2021 Author #297 Share Posted June 13, 2021 It is a Perfect Day at CocoCay! For the first time in 15 months, guest will enjoy Royal Caribbean’s private island in the Bahamas. 36

You can leave at any time. They are just trying to control the crowding at the end. Nope. The vaccinated are all over the theater. (On this cruise, unvaccinated are kids 16 and under, on future cruises it will be 12 and under until the vaccine is approved for young kids). 5
cruzeluver Posted June 13, 2021 #299 Share Posted June 13, 2021 Let me add my thanks for the live reports. Would be curious to know, with regards to the drink vouchers for Diamonds and up, do you have to use your free vouchers first? May sound odd, but could I pay for a soda at lunch and save my vouchers for wine later?
