Not stirring anything....but I am not so sure that 95% is going to include "Florida" sailings. Not so clear cut reading this....can be read as having 2 sets of policies.  Under "vaccination policy" it includes the 95% but under "For Sailings From Florida" it doesn't.

For the time being Celebrity doesn't have a choice--they are only approved by the CDC to sail with at least 95% vaccinated passengers, so they have to meet that threshold by some manner or another or they can't sail. Once July 18th rolls around and the CSO becomes "guidance" rather than an order they may have other options.

We’re counting down the days to your sailing from Ft. Lauderdale. Here’s important information on testing and health screening requirements.
US ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
All non-US residents must present a negative NAAT or Antigen test taken 3 days prior to their flight’s departure.
Be sure to save a copy on your phone and bring a printed copy. Name on test results must match those on government issued identification.
VACCINATION POLICY
Following CDC guidelines we will sail with all crew vaccinated and at least 95% of guests will be fully vaccinated.
All guests age 16 and above must be fully vaccinated (at least two weeks prior to sail date). As of August 1, 2021, all guests age 12 and older must be fully vaccinated.
Acceptable proof of vaccination must be in the form of the original vaccination record document issued by the country’s health authority or healthcare provider that administered the vaccination.
All unvaccinated guests ages 2-15 will require a complimentary antigen test at the terminal.
FOR SAILINGS FROM FLORIDA
Guests over 16 years old (over 12 for any sailing on or after August 1st) who decline or are unable to show proof of vaccination at boarding will be treated as unvaccinated and subject to additional protocols, restrictions, and costs for COVID-19 testing.
Additional requirements for unvaccinated guests 16 + :
You will need to arrive for embarkation with a negative PCR test taken within 72 hours in advance of arrival to the terminal.
You will be subject to a Covid-19 test at the pier.
A mid cruise antigen test onboard will be required.
An antigen test will be required at the end of the cruise. Please do not make early travel plans on the day of debarkation to allow time for the required testing process.
The per person cost for these antigen tests is $178 and will be applied to your onboard folio.
Masks will be required at all times onboard except while eating or drinking.
Depending on local government requirements, unvaccinated guests may be restricted from going ashore.
Unvaccinated guests will have designated seating areas in some venues such as the dining rooms, casino, theatre, etc.

Nope.  I provided you with the Celebrity chart from the website yesterday, and I am not going to go back and find it to post again.  You can find it easy enough.  Website clearly says ships will 95% vaccinated passengers.  The two sections above are not mutually exclusive.  Their vaccination policy is 95% vaccinated passengers.  The differentiation for Florida is how it will be verified.  That is all.  If they were not able to certify 95% vaccinated passengers to the CDC, they would not be sailing from Florida on Saturday.  They would be relegated to doing a test cruise and starting over.  Don't know what else to tell you.

We are so looking forward to cruising again, we had to book a b2b2b because 7 days just didn't seem long enough to quench our cruising thirst. 😎

Had to update my #53 post. I tell ya, it's tough not going on a cruise for over 16 months!

Hope everyone that is sailing on Edge will have a great time. Will be watching the port cam as you sail out tomorrow.  Would like to ask a favor of someone that will be on her to see if they can find out if a crew member named "Taz" (from Turkey) is still on Edge.  He was a bar server & was one of our favorite crew members, so hoping he's still working with Celebrity.  Have fun everyone.

Will be following closely as we are thinking of pushing our sailing up since we were able to get fully vaccinated earlier than anticipated ☺️

Have a fantastic voyage 💕

In route to FLL on Delta.  Just found this information on CNBC interview.  36% occupancy of 1,100 passengers with 24 children and 2 adults unvaccinated or 2.4%.

“The Celebrity Edge is running at 36% capacity to allow for social distancing. Still, that’s nearly 1,100 passengers who will set sail Saturday from Port Everglades, Florida.

All crew are 100% vaccinated, and nearly all passengers are vaccinated, with the exception of two adults and 24 kids under the age of 16, the company said. It’s now outfitted with a larger medical unit that has two doctors and three nurses, plus extra intensive-care unit beds and ventilators.”

Can you post later please as to whether there is a dedicated suite check-in line at the terminal?  Thank you so much!  Born Voyage!  We are watching with great anticipation as we are sailing Edge on July 24 B2B.

How strict are they enforcing check in times?

If you are 15 mins early are they making you wait outside?

We arrived an hour early and was asked to stand in a line. I asked if there was a suite class line and after showing them proof we were walked to another entrance.  So I think you can show up early, just be prepared to wait in a line if not suite class.  Keep in mind capacity is around 40%.
