Dinner- Cosmopolitan

We had reservations for 6 pm.

Paper menus are being used although you may also use the app. After having the lovely bread, the menu did not appeal to us. We decided to go the Oceanview Cafe. Some of the highlights were grilled curry trout and Korean beef.

To the poster a few weeks ago who was disappointed the pasta bar was gone on the first few sailings- IT’S BACK.

We went to Tuscan a few times but preferred Normandie. You can order from any of the 4 MDRs, so if you’re in Normandie but want the speciality dessert from Tuscan, they’ll bring it. (And no, I didn’t ask them to- they offered. Just good info.)

Daniel was at the desk, and Arturo was our waiter. Both lovely gentlemen!

You're 100% correct as its the same galley/kitchen.  Something else I learned, for those with Select dining, if you visit a MDR and the host/hostess says there's a wait, they're able to see the other MDR waits and often two or more don't have a wait.

@Tee & Chilli, if you like chocolate chip cookies you have to try them at the Eden Cafe which is open for breakfast and lunch (noon-130pm) only, I believe they're only have them during lunch.  Eden cafe/specialty dinner has some of the best tasting food (and presentations) on the ship

I would also recommend the Brownies at Eden Cafe.   They are to die for.

We are also onboard. I don’t want to hijack Tee’s thread but a few observations, excluding the boarding process.

We are in a SS with the bed facing the ocean. Luminae was pretty full this evening. We are at 7. Have the same waiter we had on Equinox in January 2020. He is very glad to see people back!
Casino is very full, no such thing as any distancing, all slot machines  available. Sitting on deck 4 right now and Martini Bar is about half full, no one at Cafe Al Bacio, although there is a comedian on the theatre at 9:30. For those interested, here are a few cabin pictures:

We had the same room and just disembarked yesterday.  Enjoyed this room immensely.  Enjoy your cruise!

You got my attention with Brownies!!!  What time are they available?  No calories, right?🙂

Only for lunch, located next to the cookies on the right hand side. They used to also have small bags of Lays potato chips.

Paper Elimination/Reduction

I cannot recall if it was here or the Royal Caribbean board where some people mentioned the discontinued use of paper.

Paper is NOT gone

The dining room still uses menus in the hard bound covers

Celebrity Today is still being delivered by the cabin steward

The cruise next desk still has paper of upcoming sailings

Park West invitation delivered yesterday

I am noticing a reduced amount being left in the cabin such as no spa information, port of call shopping maps and onboard sales.

SAVE THE TREES😀

Thanks for your excellent review. We usually book a cruise while on board at the Future Cruise desk. Wondering if anybody has seen what perk are they are offering. In the past they would offer drink pkg, grats, or OBC. Now that the "always included" offer is in place, what do they offer now?

Good morning

There has been no one sitting at the Future Cruise desk. If I see someone I’ll ask about the perks. Thanks for inquiring as this might be important factor in booking onboard.

It's reduced deposit (sky suite and below) and OBC according to the chart above.  The "PERKS" referred to above were just the standard booking perks included in the price which you would get if you booked anywhere.  Sometimes they might add 1 perk.

Thank you this is just what I'm looking for. Looks like the OBC is per stateroom not per person which used to be the case. Not much incentive to book on board when most TA's offer a pretty good OBC & same deposit.

The onboard booking gets transferred to your same TA that was used to book your current cruise.  Most (good) TA's will honor any current promo they have going on when you book on board.  For example if they are offering an additional 5% back in OBC, then your on board booking would also get the 5% extra OBC.  You can coordinate with your TA to confirm, and most will encourage you to make your on board booking for the extra perks.  It's a win/win for Travel Agents when clients book on board.

Thank you for posting this!  DH & I are researching our options for next year so we can take advantage of the reduced deposit when we sail next month.  Hope you continue enjoying your cruise 🍻

CABIN MUNCHIES

I read a thread where someone asked about the Kind bars. Here’s what I received for snacks and drinks. I’m not sure of the cost.

So happy things are much better after the check in fiasco.

I asked my butler about those snacks and drinks in the fridge and how much they cost.  He said "not to worry about it".  Raided the fridge every day.  No charges.  I was in a Sky Suite, too.

Have great time!
