Looking for feedback before biting the bullet and upgrading from a regular mini suite to Club Class. If you have completed a sailing with this class did you find it enhanced your experience on board. My thoughts are if it is that good, were you satisfied sailing the next time with out the perks Club Class offers. What was your experience,  thanks in advance for the input.

The only time it's worth it for us is if we can get what I call "the big fat mini-suite" on one of the Royal class ships. Those are the ones on Marina and Lido, forward corners. They have a great cabin layout and larger balconies. The ones on Marina are enormous. I doubt we'd ever pay extra for club class in a different category.

IMHO...only worth it, if you value the perks. The only real extras that you get are: 1) a small bottle of wine (or is it a red & a white?), 2) priority boarding (may or may not be happening in this Covid - Medallion App era), 3) nicer linens in the CC section, 4) no or short wait time to be seated in the CC section, 5)maybe a better wait staff in the CC section, & finally 6) an extra main dish or dessert that aren't offered (at that time, 'tho maybe later) in the "regular" MDR.

We love the mini suites and on one occasion tried Club Class and it cost us $1600.00 ca to upgrade on a ten day cruise.  It was fine, but not fabulous.  We did not have to wait to be seated, however in Traditional dining at a two top, we also never wait.  The little extra dishes were a nice touch,  but sometimes underwhelming.  The service was very good, however.  Unless you can snag one of the forward facing corner suites with the awesome balconies, I would think about it and weigh the pros and cons.  For us, a midship mini with traditional dining and a couple of specialty restaurants fits the bill and saves us over $1000.00.  There are those who love CC and would never book anything else.  To each their own.  Enjoy your cruise!

I was in a Club Class Mini Suite on the Regal once.  I didn’t pay for it because after I booked the mini, it was reclassified as a CC Mini Suite.  While it was very nice, I really wouldn’t pay for it.  It was great to be seated immediately and our servers were top-notch, but not worth the extra $ in my opinion.

I've had CC dining with a suite and I like the CC dining.  Some of the extra offerings are fun.  I like having the same wait staff.  From reading current live from, no need to do advance reservations.

We love club class. Have only had to wait for a table one time, not sure why it happened, but the next lunch we got the best service EVER. The extra thing they make can be great or just OK. But I do think taste is all your own. We had a lobster dish that was fantastic and a dessert that was just OK, but the fact is I don't like ice cream so I think it was more me than the food.

We usually only go with club class and have met our wonderful travel friends as a result of being in Club class with them for 10 days....If you can do it, we think it is very much worth it.

You cannot make reservations for club class. Never had to and never will

Compare it to the cost of doing specialty dining every night … if the CC is more, I would not bother.  The club class is very nice but if you’re going to spend th extra, I’d go for a full suite or make reservations in specialty dining.

Specialty restaurants have very limited menus. I would not want a steak or chop every night. Club class gives us choice and great service especially when we are on 15 to 25 day cruises

Plus you would have to make reservations in advance.  We like to see how we feel after the days activities to decide what time to dine.

I might be talked into Crown Grill lamb chops every night. 🙂  Of course there are other specialty restaurants on board, Share, Sabatini's, Sur Le Mer, Harmony, etc., depending on the ship.  I have a mini for this next cruise (non-CC) and given the mess DMW has become, I might just do the specialty thing more often.  I can see it would be an alternative to CC.

Club Class is not worth it to me. We only had the Club Class dining once when in a suite (an amazing upsell). If I could book a suite for that price on every cruise, I would. But the difference in price is more than I'm willing to pay. It's great that some people are.

Yes the lamb chops are very good but most ships have only 2 specialty restaurants and on a long cruise there is just not enough different main courses. On long cruises we always opt for club class on short 7 day casino cruises we opt for specialty restaurants, vines, Alfredos etc.

Have they started serving more than appetizers at Vines?  I haven't been in there for awhile.

You can call them apps since the serving is small but it is usually enough for us to make a meal from and maybe a dessert from the IC

In the beginning the price difference could be minimal for club class mini and regular mini suite depending on the cruise. I haven't checked for some time. We did it once, and loved it. I love the perk of being able to go to the MDR at any time and be seated immediately. This is worth a little to me, but not a lot. It was great to do once, we did it on an anniversary cruise, where we should have done a Suite, but we didn't because they were sold out.

In the end, I'd rather pay extra for a deluxe balcony Aft and do specialty dining, but that's us.

It's great to try once and decide if it's worth it. We probably wouldn't do it again because we prefer aft cabins which means if we are spending extra, maybe a suite, but probably not 🙂
