Had a great time at Chops, other than being stuffed. We had our breakfast waiter, Jorge, serve us.

Loved seeing the Chops meal as we did not get to try it out....a couple of notes, the shrimp was bigger than the MDR "lobsters" on lobster night! I am not a fan  sauce of any kind other than garlic butter on my beef. They Smeared the Tenderloin with "gravy" in the MDR as well. We are convinced that the dining package is the thing to do for us on future cruises. We are critical of food and since the upcharge restaurants popularity on board, the MDR food has suffered. I understand the cruise lines interest in keeping the price point as attractive as possible and don't mind spending a little extra for the finer dining. Glad you shared so much with us all!

Maybe putting logo on these wasn't such a good idea after all

Our roads and parking lots near the beaches were littered with them all summer. So were parking lots at shopping centers. Totally disgusting.

Very totally disgusting.  I won't tell you what litter I have found in the past. 🤐

Took me quite awhile before I learned that the phrase "Don't Mess With Texas" is an anti litter campaign.

Sorry to barge in here, but saw you were from Eustis. We're in Tavares. If you by any chance have Lakeview Medical, they are doing testing in their offices

Just found out today that they are testing at the Fair Grounds in Eustis; open from 9-5 and they do the rapid test with results in 15 minutes. Also - THEY ARE FREE.

We saw that for this month but not sure if they will be there in November for our cruise on the 8th. If anyone stops in there, please ask that question and also find out if it's a registered test that the cruise lines will accept.

Any idea who the current Genies are on Allure?   We just booked a star class cabin and I think I saw one of our prior genies was now on Allure.  Hoping we might be able to request her when the time gets closer (assuming she is on Allure).

There used to be a current genie thread but I can’t find it.

Thanks for any help.

First I've heard of "registered test". What does that mean? Who is the entity who registered it? Is there a list of registered sites some place?

Thanks

Alan R, Smitha and Romina

Awesome.  We’ve had Smitha a couple times.  It would be great to have her again.  Thanks so much for the info. Now it is just a matter of the timing of her contract and whether she’ll be there in May.  Fingers crossed.

I love Ocala, but would find it incredibly hard to leave Cocoa Beach. In fact we kick around the idea of buying a weekend place there even though we live an hour+ away. Where are you in Ocala?

You can go to Royal's web site and read the description of the types of tests they will accept. My understanding is they will accept the rapid antigen tests as long as they are monitored by a health professional, either at a pharmacy or medical clinic, or with a "proctored" (supervised by a health professional via computer) home test kit. Home test kits (I think) can only be used if one is fully vaccinated. Hope I stated this correctly and clearly, as I know wording is sometimes misleading. At least, all of this is my take away. We've had ours done at CVS and Walgreen's Pharmacies with no problems. I usually make an appointment at each Pharmacy on 2 different days; if the first results come back the same day, I cancel the 2nd one. Good to have a backup plan I think! Cheers!

emed.com they will by web cam supervise the test and send the results to the Navica app that you have to download and create an account so you can log into emed for printing your results.

Yep! I also found this explanation on another thread:

The BinaxNow home test from Abbott Labs is supervised.  You must download the Navica app and create an account.  Then, when you're ready to test, go to emed.com to establish a video conference with the monitors.  The first one verifies your test lot number and scans the code thingy to insure it's not out of date and that it's a genuine test, and he/she instructs and watches as you take off the seal, open the box, and do the test.  Then you have to wait 15 minutes for the test to develop.  (while you wait, they show you "informative videos"...:classic_wink:)

Then the 2nd person comes on 15 minutes later  (this one is the medical person) and verifies your test results.  You also get an email with a pdf result which you can print or save to show at check-in.
