Harmony of The Seas

We are booked for the February 12th Eastern Caribbean sailing and have been hearing a lot of chatter regarding Covid impacts onboard.  Wondering from those that have recently sailed or are currently on board what the experience is like.  We are fully vaccinated and boosted so not worried about contracting Covid, more concerned that the vacation may not feel like a vacation.  Any limitations on the number of people allowed at the pool, shows or casino?  Have service levels been impacted?  Final payment is due soon and so we will need to decide if we want to postpone this trip and sail in February 2023.  Appreciate any information that can be provided.

Outdoor event🤔

With the number of positive cases they had at that point and people in quarantine...to continue on like normal was highly irresponsible.

Someone posted a different view on Tik Tok and said this was right before a huge influx of covid cases on the ship.  That much I don't know because we were locked away in Covid Row by this point.

Awesome! Looks like fun. Can't wait to cruise again.

You wouldn't say that if you or your child were in quarantine with covid for 3 out of the 7 days.  And spare me the "you knew it was a pandemic".  Yes we did.  WE also expected RCCL to act responsibility and enforce their own rules.

No wonder all of us caught covid...look at the behavior they allowed.

I just keep checking the news for any updates on Covid cases on the cruise ships. Crickets. I would really love to see some transparency, I want to know how many people were in quarantine, how many tested positive. How many crew members tested positive but were then removed from the ships.

We chose to cancel our cruise (thankfully, since on top of everything else, our flight was cancelled). But part of the reason we cancelled was I do not think that the cruise lines are being transparent and honest in the reporting of how many people are testing positive on the ships.

So am I. If I'm positive I want to know before I get off the ship and worry about getting home to the UK.

It is horrible how they changed their policy for people with international flights!  Those changes should only apply to people that booked AFTER they made that change.

I only have 1 left. Not much prospect of finding more by Saturday

Our town handed some out this morning. Quite the line, but I got two. Not proctored, but good for post-cruise.

They also handed some out down here. Someone posted a picture on Nextdoor and it was the BinaxNOW proctored test. I was surprised.

Are you saying you don't trust Royal to follow their protocols? (I would be bringing my own tests as well......for just that reason)

No, just want to be able to prove to Laura she doesn't have Covid when she gets a sniffle.

Also bringing a thermometer. All 3😉

We will as well. Doing a B2B and don’t want any surprises.

I thought RCCL tested B2Bers before their second leg as a part of their protocols.

For those who say they got on board without a test pre-boarding.  Was that recently?

We've been seeing need for proof of pre-boarding tests since end of September.  And we know Carnival checked them on our post Thanksgiving cruise,  Our Harmony of the Seas cruise in 2 weeks is requiring them.

I was b2b and it was an antigen test the day before.  Antigen tests are pretty worthless I'm learning.

Antigen tests aren't worthless.  They pick up Delta very well., but not always pick up Omicron. Despite the rapid rate of Omicron infection, Delta, which is much more serious, is still around.
