Race announcing was his last gig. I’d think he is still doing it this year.

I got to tour his race shop HQ in Charlotte a few years ago.  Spectacular would be the correct statement. I could only imagine how big it would be.

He is back with Hendricks this season, as part owner and manager.  IE he runs the team, so I assume no announcing, guess we will find out this weekend when they do the Clash at the Colosseum.

Definitely creatures of habit. Headed back to SL for Happy Hour. Starting to not mind the walk

When in Rome😉

Nice sunset

This might be an option for a close beach break. Not sure if they have day passes

My Curacao Cosmo was nice, but sometimes I just want a Cape Codder. Tito's of course for M8

These are easier to carry😉

So they finished the resort!  Just clearing the ground and starting the foundation when we were last there.  Need to look up and see if they have a day pass.  But spending $ to view a ship from a beach isn't my ideal of a beach day.

Upstairs at Steak and Ribs is where we had lunch.  Hard to see at that angle, but you go around the corner on the open deck with that great view.  Highly recommend....and not busy at all.  Great food!

Had a nice lunch there and watch a couple of container ships come into the harbor.  Really nice view of everything.

Definitely hit the "wow" factor with all the remodel they did on this side of the river.  Looks great, and interesting to walk along the brick paths.  Saw a lot of really pretty birds as well.  🙂

Rain hit during breakfast. But it may be clearing. Walked across pool deck on way to spa. Lots of wet towels.

Rain stopped, but still lots of clouds. Big fluffy ones. Good time for Northstar

Oh, and I booked a massage for the afternoon. The things I have to do to review a ship is mind boggling. 😇

Rant of the day.

I hate the elevators. Pure hatred.

The touchless buttons keep mocking me, the doors close to fast, and once they close, they don’t leave right away. Frustrating.

They are generally empty though, so that's a plus

Someone asked about how much walking I do compared to Oasis ships.  It seems like I walk more, but quite frankly it's very similar.

Harmony Jan 9. Similar cabin location, aft elevators

And this week. Yesterday was the walking around Curacao, so it's a bit more

And none of this is walking as a form of exercise.  Just me getting from point A to point B

My wife and I did the day pass at the resort in the above photo. We booked it online a couple weeks back.  It was spectacular. Great food the best drinks of the week. 2 huge pools an huge water park to have to yourself. Beach is “man made”  but incredible. Felt like we jumped off the back of the ship and swam there. Best 75.00 dollars “each” that I have ever spent on a day pass by far.

I will chime in with some other tidbits later.

Overall we have had a blast!!

Agree 100%. By the time you finally get the numbers to work you have touched them more than a normal elevator. And yes we have been whacked by the quick closing doors a few times.

I am learning so much from your posts and other comments from those who are participating in this thread.  I can see that I am going to do a lot more daily planning in order to see all the shows that are offered in the various venues.  I'm not clear as to which venues require a reservation, or whether you just show up early to get a seat.

Regarding the water bottle topic, I bring a couple of small empty plastic water bottles and refill them from whatever type of water cans or bottles we are given.  I prefer a light weight small bottle that I can tuck into my small purse.

My best advice is eat first seating and go the early shows. Then you can also see a second or third event. We've been finishing dinner in under an hour easy.

Currently the only show with reservations is The Book. And the only place that really seems crowded is Music Hall

Outstanding! Did you get yelled out or whistled at? If not you are doing great in the game. Looks like @Ocean Boy is ahead on points for number of pics but there is still some time for you to go ahead.

Does this help?

Have you seen videos of the construction and conveyance? The Quantum class ships are built indoors! As big as these are, there is a building that is about 1.5+ the length, and twice the width that they building them in. And the conveyance looks amazing, as the river is really not that wide, and they have to travel 20mi/32km to get to the ocean.

I've looked for recipes of this and they vary. If you get another one ask the bartender how he makes it? Some of the recipes say white cranberry juice others say malibu rum. Not sure which is the right recipe.

LOL...yeah, you have to be careful or a large hand will activate more buttons than you want.  😉

We have had just two "situations" where a large group insisted on barging into the elevator, this last one was pretty bad as we already had 5 people in it.  Even though I pointed to the sign stating max six and let them know...they said "it doesn't matter" and came in anyway.  I walked out.

Had that happen way more times on Harmony though...elevators indeed have been pretty empty on this ship.  🙂

Pinnie lunch in an hour.  Just talked to Igrid (for the first time) concierge in DL.  Asked about numbers for next week.  70 Pinnies "scheduled".   This week was supposed to be 77, but ended up at 59.

2700 total pax for next week, more than this week...but who knows how many will show up.  😮

Thanks for the passenger count. 2700 is not bad! Just did our Covid tests, we are negative so we will board on Sunday.
