The OP has said a couple of times that the voucher has indeed been cashed in.

Well... it will be the OP word against whomever cashed it unless video shows something different.  Was the ticket legitimately found somewhere on the ship or was the supersonic video (as Pompey describes as being able to see a Nat on a fly) show something nefarious?  Either way the back of the ticket says Royal is not responsible for lost tickets. Therefore, the money is gone and a valuable lesson for all of us. I never walk out of the casino with a ticket over 50.00 bucks...too many things can happen...kid spills a drink on it in the cabin making it no longer legible...room service delivery blows it out the balcony door...accidentally toss it in the trash with the plethora of Spa marketing material...maybe I will write a book...a hundred ways to lose your casino voucher on a ship...

It was in her purse, wasn’t it?

I have a nice story. I came home with a $75.00 slot voucher from Las Vegas in my wallet, that I had misplaced and forgotten to cash out. I thought I was probably SOL. I thought there might be some way to donate it, so I sent it back to the casino corp. with a short letter to ask if there was some sort of employee assistance fund that it could be contributed to.

I actually received a nice letter in reply, along with the voucher, extending its expiration date indefinitely, until we returned. We did return in about 18 months. They were surprised, when I presented the voucher and letter, but couldn't have been nicer about it. :classic_biggrin:

Once took the train from Villefranche to Monaco. When we left the train, I noticed a purse on a seat. It contained a US student ID and a couple 100$ in cash. As there was a photo on the ID we looked around the station if we could find the owner, but there were so many people and we were pretty much the last to leave the train, so we probably missed them.

So I kept the purse and when we passed a police station, I went in and wanted to drop it for lost and found. The officers obviously weren't in the mood to work and almost treated me as if I had stolen the purse, they asked where I found it and since it was in the french train, they said I should bring it to french lost and found (which I didn't have time for, since we had to get back to the ship in Villefrance and the lost and found office for the french train company would have been in Nice). Then they asked me why I just didn't keep the money, it sounded as if they thought I was stupid to hand it in. In the end, I just told them that I thought it was the right thing to do and that I wanted to go on enjoying my vacation day. So he finally, but still unwillingly, took down a report on his typewriter and after about 20 min. I was free to go. Wasn't a very nice experience.

OP admitted their mistake

OP is not blaming casino

OP actually isn’t blaming anyone

OP is not seeking compensation

We would like to think RC would help a valuable customer to resolve the issue

So what would "resolve" the issue.  If, as you claim, the OP is not seeking compensation, what is there to "resolve"?

Chinese whispers, next they will be at a Sandals resort in Aruba

Sandals are adding casinos?  I didn’t realize they were building in Aruba either. These whispers are interesting.

I’m surprised this hasn’t turned into a tipping thread.

You can wear shorts in the casino also flip flops (sandals)

And don't forget slot hogs...which someone already alluded to earlier about how to save a slot machine.

Someone should get Weird Al on this one.....or maybe the Dr. Seuss estate.

At 80 years old, Paul Simon, the singer-songwriter of “50 ways to lose your lover” from the 1970’s, might now be able to instead compose “100 ways to lose your voucher” if rolloman  is looking for musical assistance.

Yes that is exactly the song I had in mind... "drop on the floor, Lenore; throw in the trash, Nash" etc.

Maybe a song rather than a book?

Well ok then...here is my rough draft...parody of 50 ways to leave your lover...

The problem is all inside the purse security said to me…the answer is easy if you take it logically. I’d like to help you in your struggle but there will be a fee. There must be 50 ways to lose your voucher…50 ways to lose your voucher…It just slipped out the backpack, slot tech found it on the deck, heck, no need to be coy Joy just get yourself OBC … so it’s time to make a new plan Anne…  so, he dropped off the cursed purse, we don’t need to discuss much …just go on a shopping spree with your new OBC.

Thank you.  What happens if you forget to tap out? Does it just log you out when the next person taps in? Do you have to set up a pin before you start playing?

A few years ago this guy on Anthem went tapping machine after machine every morning to login in hopes someone would sit down so they would accumulate the points.
After they would leave I would click logout of every one of them.
This went on all week.
I hope he didn’t earn 1 single point that entire week.

The song is "Fifty Way to LEAVE your Lover"

Yes.  But, quite a few on here have gone off the rails completely and totally haven't read the original post.
