Elite status on Apex

I'll be travelling on Apex in December.

I have the questions below:

- Can I bring my travel companion (not an elite member) to the daily cocktail hours 5:00 -7:00 p.m.?

- After using up 90 minutes of free Wi-Fi, can I purchase Wi-Fi at 30% off?

- Does the exclusive daily breakfast come with fresh juices? Where will it be and what time?

- Is there any complimentary access to the Spa?

Not relating to Elite status, does Apex have sidewalk sale nightly that's good for buying souvenirs & costume jewelry? Are there only high-end stores?

Thank you so much in advance.

The Elite Happy hour is no longer at one place but at all bars except Magic Carpet and all restaurants. Your travel companion can't order any complimentary drinks, but your drink benefit is unlimited from 5-7.

Yes, you'll get a discount when purchasing wifi packages.

The Elite breakfast does include juices and smoothies. It's either held in the Tuscan Restaurant or The Bistro. I don't have the times at the moment.

The free thermal suite doesn't apply on Edge class ships nor is there a discount for spa access.

No sidewalk sales of inexpensive items on any Edge Class ship. They do occasionally discount items at the end of each particular season.

World Class Bar may also be excluded from Captain's Club Elite Happy Hour. It would be nice if we can order a complimentary HH drink in the restaurants, if we are there between 5-7pm. I didn't know that was allowed, have you been able to do this?

Dining room drinks are excluded, but you can get one from a bar and walk it in.

Sailing on the Apex in a suite B/2/B   Glad no sidewalk sales.  They typically sell cheap tee shirts , watches and jewelry and cause crowding.  We can purchase that stuff at the ports.  Nice to look at more high end merchandise.

Are drinks really unlimited to the number of drinks you may have from 5 to 7pm?

Now with the drink packages,  the drinks from 5 to 7 pm are no longer a perk. JMHO!

The WCB does not have any drinks up to the $9 limit therefore you would not qualify. The wines and martinis are extremely limited with Elite HH.  You can order a Cosmo and apple martini.  I was not able to use the Spa in the Edge during a sea day as they are under a different contract to the S class ships. Not fair but thats how they market it.  She offered me 10% off a massage but I declined and they don't care.  I found them unfriendly.

The cosmos and apple martini are also made using the the liquors in the  classic package.   They aren’t the same as the premium martinis you get at the Martini bar.   Ex.  The Cosmo is made with a cheaper vodka, not Grey Goose and uses  triple sec instead Cointreau.

Happy cruising 🌊🚢🇺🇸🌅

@miched I order cosmos at the martini bar and watched him make it using Absolut vodka and Cointreau. Earlier I had gone to the casino bar and he used some really cheap brand of vodka it was in a plastic bottle tasted pretty weak so I left it on the bar.  Absolut is a good quality brand and when mixed with other liquors can barely tell the difference.

TIA

I doubt it classic package covers drinks under $9. If you don't upgrade to premium you can pay the difference.

What wines are included  as an  Elite Member at happy hour

The wines are basic and vary by ship.  A couple whites and reds of different varieties. On my last cruise they had a CK Mondavi cab which was pretty good. Others ships had reds which I turned down and had a white instead.

The WIFI perk for Elite is 90 free minutes OR a discount. You can however purchase WIFI on the ship after you use your free minutes and it will be pro-rated for the number of days left. If you opt to use your free minutes, don't forget to log out each time otherwise your free minutes will continue to run even if you're not using the WIFI. If you purchase the WIFI before the cruise there is a pre-cruise discount (and sometimes a sale) and you can call and have them apply your Elite discount.

I used my Elite+ discount to upgrade my wifi and still had the option to use the "free" minutes on the log-in page.

Once you upgraded your WIFI why would you need "free" minutes? Wouldn't you have already paid for unlimited "free" minutes...ergo not free?  I think that my be a result of the famous X IT at work lol.

I was just noting that it's not an either/or perk. It's both.
