RogueMonk Posted December 4, 2022 #1 Share Posted December 4, 2022 Is there a way to request a private table during dinner in the dining room? Can that be done ahead of time? Thanks!

You will probably get a standard reply within 24 to 48 hours followed by confirmation.
Rare BecciBoo Posted December 4, 2022 #5 Share Posted December 4, 2022 They just emailed us with our 2 top location for next week! I have the table #. They aim to please!
Carlos A. Posted December 5, 2022 #6 Share Posted December 5, 2022 I have sent two emails to that address, none of them have been answered. Too bad.
Rare BecciBoo Posted December 5, 2022 #7 Share Posted December 5, 2022 RCLDINING@RCCL.COM <RCLDining@rccl.com> Yep that's correct, they emailed me right away, that's unusual....are you sure you asked for traditional seating? They won't assign a table if you're listed as MTD...as Biker said you must do that when boarding.

Unfortunately it is too early for your table request at this time as the ship begins seating guests 30 days prior to sailing. Please contact us again at rcldining@rccl.com at 30 days prior to sailing and we will be able to forward your table request to the ship for processing. We look forward to welcoming you onboard!Thank you and kindest regards, Royal Caribbean Dining Administration
JeffT237 Posted December 5, 2022 #10 Share Posted December 5, 2022 We make the request with our TA and confirm it once we are onboard. We've have always received a table for 2 the times that we've requested one.

We always request it, although not prior to sailing, but when entering MTD MDR. Edited December 5, 2022 by Tatka 2
RogueMonk Posted December 6, 2022 Author #12 Share Posted December 6, 2022 Thanks everyone. I emailed and will also confirm when we first get on board. Sorry about the duplicate posts!
poocher Posted December 6, 2022 #13 Share Posted December 6, 2022 We had MTD and made the email request. Although they could not give us our table number, when I stopped at the MDR, they had it in the system already.
BonTexasNY Posted December 6, 2022 #14 Share Posted December 6, 2022 Not sure how RCI is handling MDR seating. My sister just got off Celebrity Edge last week and she was told that due to covid, seating could not be shared with "strangers", just with your travel party or friends you request to be seated with ahead of time. My sister said there were more than the usual amount of 2-tops. I wonder what single cruisers do.

jbandkb Posted December 6, 2022 #17 Share Posted December 6, 2022 Followed advice above and received notification of our table assignment for 2 today for an upcoming cruise on Odyssey. Now I just have to figure out where table 436 is!!!
BonTexasNY Posted December 7, 2022 #18 Share Posted December 7, 2022 Someone once posted that their cruise was waitlisted for both times in MDR AND MTD. He was told there would be openings close to sail date. I had never heard of that before.

Rare foodsvcmgr Posted December 8, 2022 #23 Share Posted December 8, 2022 Certainly not a setup conducive to discussing nuclear secrets but it still is preferable to a large table in that while you are free to converse with your neighbors you are not obligated to do so.
YadaYadaJodi Posted December 8, 2022 #24 Share Posted December 8, 2022 So how specific can you get in your request? Can I request a table for two along the rail? On an upper deck 4 or 5 by the rail for early dining (on Allure). Too specific? Too entitled? Any other location requests to avoid tables so close we couldn't fit through? 😆 DH not that social... Rare BecciBoo Posted December 8, 2022 #25 Share Posted December 8, 2022 (edited) Absolutely, always get a 2 top at the windows. If we are sailing alone, we have always requested one and so far we have always been given a great table. Sometimes they have been rather closely situated but we don't let it bother us.
