Rare TiogaCruiser Posted December 26, 2022 #403 Share Posted December 26, 2022 (edited) Have there been Mariachis on the mall at the terminal in PV? Pre-covid ( and before the new building went in) they had a large group (at least 25 members- maybe more) performing as we disembarked. They were not there in March of this year. Kazu, I know this probably won’t be of interest to you personally, but someone else in your group might like it. In Loreto we bought a bottle of local wine at the mission. It was really great - I believe a Grenache, can, sirah IIRC. It was home bottled and had a little fizz. How many ships were at the actual port? Looking forward to hearing about your day in PV.

Looking forward to hearing about your day in PV. By the looks of her pics, K-dam is at Muelle No. 3 adjacent the small Armada de Mexico naval base (HAL ship in the attached pic). She is docked/berthed so no tendering required. It's a petty decent hike from No. 3 to the new terminal at No. 1 however, in the past they have had electric shuttle carts take mobility impaired folks to No.1 where the taxis can be found. NCL's Norwegian Joy is due in PV in less tan two hours - at Noon - so wil probably get the prime spot at Muelle No. 1 9

There were 2 people in costume for pics. We do have a band coming on later on today to perform. 1 hour ago, TiogaCruiser said: Pre-covid ( and before the new building went in) they had a large group (at least 25 members- maybe more) performing as we disembarked. Sorry I was in error. Was looking out aft and didn’t realize we were at Muelle #3. No tendering. 30 minutes ago, Copper10-8 said: By the looks of her pics, K-dam is at Muelle No. 3 adjacent the small Armada de Mexico naval base (HAL ship in the attached pic). My error for looking out aft 😉 They did have the little carts going to pier 1 for all the passengers - no charge.

Rare BruhnSisters Posted December 26, 2022 #410 Share Posted December 26, 2022 Jacqui - Thank for taking us along with your delightful posts! I look forward to hopefully meeting you in person soon. I was on Koningsdam last week with my sister. We had a small balcony room on the 8th desk. We heard some stomping from line dancing on the deck above, but that just meant the guests were having a great time! The ship was pretty packed, but we still found quiet spots to read and relax. Spent this week back at home. I'm boarding the ship again solo on Thursday! (My hubby does not have sea legs, and my cruising sister has her son's family visiting from out of town.) I have an inside cabin this time, but I'm happy as can be and feel very spoiled to be able to sail! Can't wait for more Dutch Pea Soup . . . mmmmmmm! 7

J & J are used to ships with a Tamarind so shared their past experiences. I hadn’t been to a Tamarind since the N Amsterdam inaugural sailing (scary, but true).

I pre-booked it but my friends were able to add themselves to my table when they got on board. Fair warning - with HIA - book as soon as you are on board. Pretty much everything seemed to be booked up by day 2 although we were able to get into the Canaletto. Booked it on the 2nd day. 5
Rare kazu Posted December 27, 2022 Author #421 Share Posted December 27, 2022 Ok, for you folks like @Vict0riann & @madera1 and a few 100 more coming on board on the 29th. The shrimp aioli was one of the appetizers tonight. The sauce reminded me of the sauce our shrimp cocktail had at the bottom on the Oosterdam. It’s quite good as I’m sure @ger_77will attest to from our previous cruise. If it’s back on the menu, I might just order a couple and salad and call it dinner 😉 😂 And yes, I had a crisp for dessert with ice cream on the side. I was a good girl though and didn’t eat the whole thing 😉 😆 18

I understand it will probably be raining…. We’re at the airport now. On our way to join you!
