Feb Majestic Princess, Mexican Riviera (30% occ)

Feb Majestic Princess, Mexican Riviera (45% occ) -booked the second week while on board.

April Majestic Princess, California Coastal (50% occ)

April Majestic Princess, Coastal repositioning (50% occ?)

August Zuiderdam (HAL), Alaska, felt full, but not sure

September Celebrity Millenium, Alaska, (40% occ)

November Emerald Princess Transatlantic (50% approx)

We were newly retired this year, so that combined with crazy good offers on cruises made it 7! We are very fortunate.

We were extremely nervous on the first in January as it was our first during the pandemic and we needed a negative PCR to get home but, all was fine. worst case scenario we would have had to quarantine in Sunny California instead of going home to rainy BC, and we were absolutely prepared to do that! All cruises were Covid free for us, then we got it at home, lol.

Next up is Hawaii in a week.

Did 4 cruises in 2022:

May 7 - Crown Princess (restart cruise) - Alaska Inside Passage - Got 50% FCC from the Crown issues (which I didn't personally experience minus losing the stop at Juneau), rolled that into:

September 26 - Discovery Princess repo Vancouver to LA

November 14 - Discovery Princess 5-day Cabo Turnaround

November 26 - Discovery Princess Mexican Riviera

Had an awesome time on all. Crew was amazing throughout.

Majestic Princess - January - Mexican Riviera

Holland American Eurodam - November - Panama Canal Sunfarer

Diamond Princess - December - Baja California and Sea of Cortez

We discovered the thermal Spa with a pool on Majestic Princess, and will now be disappointed when a ship doesn't have one. Izumi on Diamond Princess was amazing.

Just one, first since before the pandemic:

Regal Princess, Christmas & New Years b2b

First leg was great; second leg was booked to capacity, obviously exceeding the staff's capacity to serve that many people (lines for everything!), so not as good an experience -- even the food wasn't as good as on the first leg.  But I still bought more FCDs, so .  . .

Booked on Regal Princess for July 2022 Greek Islands, but Princess cancelled all passengers for a whole ship charter.  Now going on Enchanted Princess in July 2023 on same itinerary.

Cruised on Cunard QM2 in July 2022.

We are still working so our vacation time is a somewhat limited, but we also went on ski trips to Vail, Stowe, Lake Placid, and traveled to Iceland two months ago to see the Northern lights.

We also have booked a Viking Europe river cruise for March 2023.

Travel is a joy and a wonder!

I thought maybe we could deviate a bit from the range of complaints and other such topics and try something different.  How many of my fellow Princess cruisers actually sailed in 2022?  Please only respond if you truly *did* sail in 2022...primarily on Princess but feel free to include sailings on a different cruise line as well.

For myself, we did 4 cruises but had 6 on the books.  We literally "missed the boat" on the second booked for the year due to a delayed Delta flight.  The third we cancelled ourselves due to the concern over Omicron.

1) Sky, Eastern Carib.

2) Sky TA (missed)

3) Grand, Hawaii round trip, LA (cancelled)

4) NCL Gem, Greek Islands

5) Discovery, Alaska

6) Island, Oktoberfest Capitals of Norther Europe

What about you?

We were on the same #6 as you!

We were big Princess fans.  Then for whatever reasons did quite a few cruises on RCI and Celebrity.  No complaints about Princess.  It was just how things worked out for the places we wanted to go.  We were happy to get back to Princess last year.  We have two more Princess cruises booked for this year.   Looks like Princess is back in our future.  Haha.

May: Emerald Princess for 12 night British Isles roundtrip from Southampton

September: Grand Princess for 12 night Alaska itinerary roundtrip from Vancouver, BC

We have cancelled our Transpacific from Sydney, Australia in 2023 , due to the stress involved in covid testing for embarkation. It was very stressful to fly to London knowing that we needed to test to embark, after flying there. We were ok, but flying 14 hours to Australia and having to test no more than 48 hours before embarkation was really not appealing.

We  as  well love  the  thermal  spa....on  the  Regal  and  he  Royal so  relaxing  have  not  tried  it  on newer  ships.

Izumi  on  the Diamond  is definitely amazing,  we  spent  many  days  there on a  South  East  Asia cruise.
