Another dress code question

With all the changes lately I don't want to rely on old board info. I will try and keep this simple. I normally wear clean dark jeans along with short sleeved casual or polo type shirts, (never tees) especially on NCL. When and where can I NOT dress this way on Celebrity (Summit)? Probably not on Chic Night in the MDR I think but in the theater on chic night? The casino? What about other locales and other nights?

Anywhere, any night, including evening chic.

This is fine any night anywhere on any Celebrity ship.

What changes are you referring to?

The dress code says "designer jeans".  Not sure what designer jeans are, to be honest. I'm guessing my faded 501's won't spread the mustard, so I'll just bring some chino type pants.

You can dress that way anywhere any time even on dress up nights in the MDR or the pretend restaurants. We quickly realized nobody really dresses to impress anymore. And if they do, it’s for themselves, not for the other cruisers.  We like to dress a little bit nicer than we would going to the Cheesecake Factory, but it’s totally optional.

Clean the mustard from your Levis and total acceptable. Levis are also designer jeans.

My "designer jeans" were designed by Lee.

People in shorts of any kind were turned away for dinner service in the MDR's on our Beyond cruise.  They were more lenient for breakfast & lunch but still no bathing suits or cover ups.

I saw lots of people in jeans but no holes.

Nothing to do with being lenient. Shorts are and always have been acceptable in the MDR for breakfast and lunch, fleetwide.

I still carry a sports jacket with me but no longer even bother to pack a tie.

If the temperature in Luminae and other venue's we frequent in the evenings warrants it, I'll wear the sports jacket in the evening.  Otherwise, it stays on a hanger in our closet.

Is it really true that you can NOT wear a t-shirt in the MDR at breakfast or lunch? (if they allow shorts at dinner...per some reports YMMV, they surely would let you eat breakfast while wearing a t-shirt???)

That's not at all true.

Breakfast and lunch t-shirts, except maybe sleeveless, are permitted.  For dinner I have seen people turned away, pre COVID, if not wearing a collared shirt and long pants.
