jules815 Posted April 2, 2023 #1 Share Posted April 2, 2023 Currently looking to move from a deck 9 Infinite Veranda to a Sunset Balcony. There's currently availability on all decks. Anyone who has sailed in these types of balconies, is there a preferred deck? We'll be on ASCENT for the TA next April. Thanks.
hrhdhd Posted April 2, 2023 #2 Share Posted April 2, 2023 Any but 7. Too much noise from below.
jelayne Posted April 2, 2023 #3 Share Posted April 2, 2023 Just now, hrhdhd said: Any but 7. Too much noise from below. I have read some said some noise others no noise. We moved from deck 8 to 7 because on the Beyond the deck 7 balconies have more shade & we are hoping that will be the same on the Beyond. Noise from any shows in Eden would most likely end by midnight so for us that s fine.
jules815 Posted April 2, 2023 Author #4 Share Posted April 2, 2023 Thanks everyone. Can people on other decks look down onto your balcony? What about position...would the center be better or does it really matter?
Fla Mike Posted April 2, 2023 #5 Share Posted April 2, 2023 We were on deck 9 on Edge and it was purrfect!
jelayne Posted April 2, 2023 #6 Share Posted April 2, 2023 Yes people can look down if you are near the rail.
Jeremiah1212 Posted April 2, 2023 #7 Share Posted April 2, 2023 My choice would also be deck 7 due to the balcony design which is different than deck 7 on Edge and Apex.

Only one left on 7. 8 completely booked. Higher decks, including 12, have lots of availability. Any reason not to be up there??

sun bum Posted April 2, 2023 #10 Share Posted April 2, 2023 We always book a SV cabin but deck 12 would be our last choice due to being under the outdoor area for the Oceanview Cafe. We are booked on the Ascent on deck 9. Had deck 10 twice on the Edge and once on the Beyond. They were perfect!
Mauidiver Posted April 2, 2023 #11 Share Posted April 2, 2023 We were on deck 11 on Edge and loved it! Great location as it was a bit closer to the pool deck, but below the Sunset Bar enough to not be bothered by it.

jules815 Posted April 2, 2023 Author #13 Share Posted April 2, 2023 (edited) Thanks for all the help everyone. We'll be on deck 11 in a SV. This will be my husband's first time sailing in an aft cabin. I was in one years ago on Constellation with our daughter for a spring break cruise. It was a Sky Suite with a huge bathroom. I'm excited for this room. Love that the balcony has loungers. Will be nice for all those sea days. Edited April 2, 2023 by jules815 2

jwlane Posted April 2, 2023 #15 Share Posted April 2, 2023 Did a B2B in Greece on Apex in the middle of Deck 12 and 7---both great.

It was a great cabin.👍
Cruise Gopher Posted April 3, 2023 #17 Share Posted April 3, 2023 We were in 12266 on Apex and the noise from people dragging their chairs at the tables above at Oceanview Cafe outdoor area was very loud and annoying in the mornings.

The balconies on 7 are huge. Grab it if you can.
deliver42 Posted April 3, 2023 #20 Share Posted April 3, 2023 We were on deck 10 on the Beyond. Wonderful balcony with 2 lounges and 2 chairs. Lots of room and very quiet.
