I see the Apex does not have the sky lounge so I am looking for a replacement lounge to have a quiet drink before supper. Suggestions?

Eden is a great space to enjoy a quiet drink before or after supper. You’ve got the bar space, the ramp with views of the aft, and another area at the top of the ramp.

It has been awhile, but on the Edge it was held at The Club.

I think you are referring to something else, the Elite Happy Hour is not 'held' in a single venue, it's a defined list of drinks that can be ordered at most bars (some excluded) and they scan your card to know you are Elite to get them free during that 5-7pm timeframe.

When you get on board find the bar you are comfortable with and a BT that makes the drinks the way you like it

I like the Eden Bar.   A lot of different areas to sit at and offers many premium spirits]

Some may like the Sport bar by the casino, or the Magic Carpet Bar

Not that complicated.    What I like you may not.

There is no HH on the first night so use that night to find an area you may like.

I have to say wasn’t really blown away by the bars on Apex. Eden was always crowded, martini bar too noisy. MC was ok if not too windy. Sunset bar ok. I spent most of my time in retreat lounge when on my own but dh didn’t really like the lounge.

Was on Silhouette in June and the bars especially ensemble lounge, my favourite, were better imo. Gutted there is nothing like Sky Lounge on E class.

When getting drinks using HH Elite perk, does the bartender automatically received a gratuity from Celebrity just as they would when getting a drink when you have the drink package?

No. That's up to you for the CC HH drinks.

I am surprised that the servers would like to give out HH drinks if they get no gratuity as we do not see many people passing out $'s.  If I may ask, if you are Elite or above and utilize the HH do you leave a tip?  We always do and now glad we do.

Why wouldn't they? It's their job to provide the service they are getting paid to do even for us CC members ordering drinks during the CC HH. How and what they get paid is not my concern and only between Celebrity and them. It works the same way with RC with the CAS HH drinks. I guarantee you would never see me leaving a tip. I do it very discreetly, so don't ever assume what others may or not do. We are CC members, but haven't used our CC HH perk since the restart as we prefer the AI.

I am with you.  I do not Grand Stand when leaving a TIP.

When we became Elite many years ago they started the 4 perk promo so our 1st cruise as Elite included the promo that gave us the 4 perks and every cruise since have always included at least the classic package as a perk that we always upgraded to the premium.

When the HH was in the Reflection, or Sky Lounge ( don’t know what they call it )  we would attend for people watching and the tidbits that they would serve.   We would order a premium drink using our drink pack when there.   We didn’t like any of the drinks available for HH.

It was funny watching people downing as many drinks as possible in that time frame.   One time there was a male  in front of us.  He had 3 beers before the server ever got to us.   For what ever reason the servers would always start at the same place taking orders and not where they left off.  One finally made it to us.  I ordered a premium beer.   That male in front of us wanted to order a beer and she said that these other passengers haven’t been attended to.   She came back and he reached up and grab my beer off of the tray. She said sir that is a premium beer and you will have to pay for it.   He told her to F Off and drank it.    Security came and I am sure that he was the one that got F offed the ship.

Another couple on one cruise would always be at the head of the line and run to the bar and sit in the same seats.  I am sure they had at least 5 drinks before the people away from the bar had one or two

I wonder how long it will be before the Elite HH will consist of 2 or 3 drinks loaded on you card like RCCL and not unlimited as it is now.

Give Laura time. Like you we did the 4 perk option before the  AI option which we now do.

And the 2 or 3 loaded drinks will only be available between 5 and 7.  It won’t affect me as I said I always have the premium pack as a perk but many others don’t.

It is just  another way of telling  the loyal cruisers that we don’t appreciate your loyalty any more and all of the money that you spent on your past cruises.

it is like everything else.  What you have done in the past doesn’t count.  It is what you do today.

We can get first time passengers that think they will be getting what cruising use to be, or spending their inheritance.  Money not earned isn’t appreciated and spent foolishly.  Easy come easy go.

There are not enough bars on Apex imho… (one of her many flaws). Eden is probably the quietest- but no comfortable seating unless you can get one of the chairs up the slope

In response to offering a tip for a HH drink, I just put it on his tray.  I never try to "show off" but I certainly would not slip it  into his/her hand.  We are comfortable tipping for the HH drinks but someone here said it was not something one has to do.  I honestly would feel not right offering a gratuity since we have earned this CC perk of one or two drinks(water + drink) and have never acted like I needed to get every drink I could within that time period.  If I did, I would be not feeling very well for sure.

My point in asking was just to determine if one did not tip did the server/bartender get a tip from another source. I also tip in the casino.

We are sailing on Apex in December and look forward to our HH in Eden and at the Martini Bar.

Do not enjoy the Martini Bar anywhere near as much as on the older ships.  As you say, hard to find seats and also not lik sitting at the bar and having fun with other people and the bartenders.  So very different.
