I feel that they are changing the face rates as well.  Prices continue to rise as services continue to fall.

This has been the case for a while.  I tried it for our Bermuda cruise last July and it was no go.  In the end I got a "deal" on the July 4 flash sale that beat by CC Elite discount so what this the real value of the CC Elite benefit?

People that have to have internet to leave home will buy it..I think it’s that simple. Thankfully, I’m just not important anymore.

I have never been able to stack a CC discount with a flash sale rate.  I have been able to use the CC discount with the pre cruise price which is usually lower by 5-10%.

 But not with a 20- 50% off flash sale.  For me not a take away, business as usual.

They are raising the face rates as well!

There is some verbiage along these lines in emails going back several months. I don't think this is new at all.

That's specific to flash sales which happen infrequently.  In the past, you could call the Capts Club anytime to receive the stacked pre-sail discount and the Capt Club discount

They will usually stack it with the normal pre-cruise discount but I found that watching for the flash sales gave me a better deal than the stacking deal.

I look at it this way, the flash sales are more frequent I noticed now on the wifi upgrades 4 or 5 times I have had these rates.  I upgraded on one of my cruises for 3.99 and another 2.99 per day.  I would not expect CC discount on the flash sales.

I agree. This is not a new thing.

Hate buying wifi unless it's a lot of sea days, but I always have to get it since I'm such a worry wort and want some contact in case of those once in a chance emergencies!
